Superb food and service last night.
The changes made to this place are fantatstic.
The food is homemade with Quality produce and at good traditional pub prices. Great bar selection too! With a lovely country inn feel I cannot recommend this place enough.
We only live 2 mins from the travellers and during our 4 years in our home it’s changed hands so many times. So much so that we had written it off as a good pub and always went elsewhere. However the new landlord is doing a fantastic job and has injected life into the place. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, you feel very welcome here. The food is good too, for pub grub it ticks the box.
I am very fussy about a Sunday roast, but the Father’s Day roast got a massive thumbs up from me and my family!
Had Sunday lunch yesterday with walking Friends. Lovely friendly service, had beef and gammon served with 2 Yorkshire's, roasties, cauliflower cheese and 2 other veg. All served piping hot and fresh. The pies were good too. Great food in a nice pub. Definitely on our favourite list. �

What a great pub. There food was outstanding, well presented and tasted amazing. The staff were so kind and thoughtful and the manager made time to come and have a chat. Family of 6 we were that had a grieving day yesterday were made to feel relaxed and chilled after saying goodbye to an auntie. I thankyou all for your kind caring hospitality. Keep it up guys. Highly recommended. X

Was taken for a lovely Sunday lunch at the Travellers Inn for my birthday, the meal was second to non. To finish I had home made lemon tart, it was amazing. The family are always welcoming, they always make you really feel at home, The pub quiz on a Tuesday night is really good fun too.
Lovely pub with friendly landlord and staff, walker friendly with real ale and very well kept Guinness.

Fantastic food, Amazing choices, especially in the Vegetarian Section/ Light Meals/ Meals for those with smaller appetites. All ingredients sourced locally and ethically so you know what you are eating is wholesome, and to be honest, you can taste the difference. Staff are attentive and very helpful. Everything is cooked fresh to order.
There is plenty of room inside with tables and chairs arranged in such a way that you can get around without any issue. Cushions and fresh flowers add to the lovely warm atmosphere. There is a disabled toilet although I didn't use it to see how much room there was. There is a large seating area outside and at a guess that might have a level entry into the building for disabled access. I accessed the building through the main door, and that is up 3 or 4 wide steps with a rail at each side.
This is a little out the way, but the effort to get here is by far outweighed by the service, the food, drink, the range and quality offered, and general ambience when entered.
I felt safe here.
I would recommend this to anyone wanting a quiet drink / meal or to a party looking for somewhere to celebrate a birthday / wedding / retirement / any occasion.
It gets first class rating, in my opinion.
Have often stopped here for a drink after a dog walk but not eaten here for a while so decided to book last minute. So glad we did!! Food was 1st class, friendly & helpful staff especially when we wanted to change few ingredients on food choice which wasn’t a problem. Comfortable dining. Will definitely be going again !!

Great home made food, very friendly owner and staffs. We're liveing in local area, and we nearly come here for food and beer once per week. They also have food nights with different themes. Very nice and recommand!

A lovely tasty lunch - great menu and delicious food. They couldn’t have been more helpful or friendly. Service was excellent.

Fantastic place! Lovely food, the staff are very accommodating (allowing us to tweak certain items for fussy kids!) and friendly and it's good value for money. Locally sourced produce. Can personally recommend the lasagne, steak pie, ham and cheese panini, all day breakfast. And the puddings, well... beaut!
Absolutely brilliant service! My mum has long covid, and has alot of allergies. We had the chef come out, and go through the whole menu!
