Lovely place to eat. Great food and atmosphere. Extensive and varied menu. Visited Friday evening for an occasion meal with family. Had a really good time, and will be visiting again. Highlights for me were the crispy beef salad main, and the sticky toffee pudding desert which were delicious. All the deserts were enjoyed though. Why not 5 stars overall? Well, it was close, but the beef steak main lacked flavour, which was disappointing as it was very expensive. Also, the ox cheek pasta dish was very small, almost a child's portion. Service was friendly, but a little slow, maybe short of staff? Still highly recommend though.

A fantastic pub/restaurant with delicious food. We went on a Sunday and the roasts were great (shout out to the nut roast!), the desserts were also all very good, especially the apple sorbet and salted caramel waffle. I would also like to say a huge thank you to the staff - our little corgi had hurt her paw on a walk (got a nasty thrown stuck in it, poor thing) and after we got it out the staff were so sweet helping us clean her up and bringing her treats to distract her. We are so grateful for their kindness and help.

Celebrated a 70th birthday meal with family, food and service was excellent. The food was served by the staff with a smile and nothing was too much trouble. A few friends joined us for drinks later, even though the bar was busier there seemed to be enough happy staff to serve you. Thank you for an enjoyable evening and we will return.

Great setting for a Sunday dinner. Staff were attentive, pleasant and friendly. Have only just discovered this venue recently and have been returning week after week due to the brilliant experience. Would thoroughly recommend the mixed roast and great selection of draught beers and eclectic range of spirits.

Really good Sunday roast. Great vegan nut roast too. Love places that do a hot drink and smaller pudding combo 👌 The staff were quick to find us a table inside when the wasps turned up. Our pudding was delayed but staff were good at coming to explain the issue, offer their apologies and resolve. It was very busy and a little slow but totally understandable on a busy Sunday lunch service. Overall, excellent food and attentive staff.

Lovely place, food, when it arrived, was really good. Gardens are beautiful and plenty of seating internally and externally. Toilets clean. Decor is well kept and clean. Unfortunately the only thing letting this place down is the staff, looked like mainly 20+ who wanted to chat to each other rather than serve. Every time we needed something we had to hunt for it ourselves (salt, ketchup, cutlery) as no one was near. It was dump the food and run. We kept having to go to the bar for drinks despite having a table and ordering our food but when at the bar they'd ignore you cos they were chatting with each other. Shame they hire people that let such a nice place down.
