Back in Papworth for a takeaway tea. Friendly welcome. Excellent quality grub - as always. Lovely haddock in light crisp batter and the best chips Ive had in months! Still the place to come for my fussy son's favourite cheesy chips too.
We have been several times now, and the food is always great (especially their burgers, lovely stuff).
The prices are a bit high but I guess that's the new normal nowadays.
My only criticism is that the chips portion size is sort of the same no matter what size you order, and it's rather small.
They charge different prices for small medium and large chips (large being £4.20, we can't say cheap as chips anymore can we..) but when we got large chips , we got less chips than the time before when we ordered medium chips.. and then another time it was just me eating chips and I ordered small chips, and the small chips wasn't that much smaller than the medium size.
That being said the chips are always spot on, food always very tasty, and the chap is always very friendly.
Highly recommended, but be aware that a "large" portion of chips feeds 2 people maximum.
Despite recent hikes in fish prices still a great value for money treat for tea. Good portion sizes.
WOW, I finally got to visit this Fish n Chip shop on Tuesday 13th June. We used too visit one in Cambourne but its gone down in our opinion. Here is my honest view. I ordered Medium Chips and Battered Sausage. The chips were cooked too perfection and the Batter on the Sausage was very crispy and sausage again cooked too perfection. The Guy serving was very friendly and personable. Overall a Very pleasant visit which is now our goto Chippy…….

I use Luke’s fish and chips led almost every Friday Like and his wife are always there to greet you politely and with a smile food lovely I would and do recommend Luke’s Fish and chips to my neighbours.

Good food, good portion sizes. Got in just after opening with a huge order, had it ready in 10 minutes. Really pleased with service.
On Good Friday we came here to get our fish supper. It was delicious. The fish was flaky and fresh and the chips were perfect. It takes me back in time. If you are in the area round Papworth give it a try and you will be pleasantly surprised. They fully deserve the five stars awarded by Huntingdon Council for cleanliness

We have followed Luke’s around his branches in Cambridge over his numerous years in the business & the quality of the food served remains the best we have had. The fish is always fresh and the chips are the best I’ve ever tasted anywhere ever! Having eaten across the country & globally that is not a comment I write lightly.
