Great campsite, the best one we have been. We have been staying here each year for 3 years now. Just nature, mountains around and peace. We were with our baby during this cold spring, so we took a Bunkhouse rooms. It's lovely pub on the top too, with lovely staff and food! Highly recommend!
We stayed on one of the campervan pitches. It was nice and level with hard standing for the van and grass either side for an awning. All the staff we met were very helpful and friendly. The food in the pub on site was great. We had the Cumberland sausage and cottage pie. Nice local ales available
WOW! What a perfect base to explore the eastern fells of Lakeland. Customer service was excellent, we changed our pitch from tent to camper with minimal fuss. Friendly staff at both the campsite and the pub (not a fan of that hill after 10hrs on the fells though 🤣), excellent facilities clean shower
I have camped here a few times, and recently used the bunkhouse (twin room with ensuite toilet). It's basic, but very good value for money. The toilet block amenities are very well looked after, and the shop and staff are absolutely spot on. The on site pub is excellent with a good choice of beers,
Brilliant place at the heart of Lakes. Plenty of places for walking around and a short drive to Glenridding. Short walk to Brothers water which we attempted to swim in but unfortunately it was still way too cold for it in early April 😂. Seemed to be more suitable for tents, camper van or motorhomes
In a really nice spot... very friendly staff ... close to a lot of spectacular mountains and walks... also a good pub that's dog friendly always a winner in my view
Been here for quite a few New Year celebrations. Food is always top quality and service is excellent. Very comfy, cosy rooms and really friendly staff. Relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend but book early.
Amazing campsite, super friendly staff and super clean! Lovely pub at the top of the road as well! Second time visiting and won’t be the last!
This is definitely one of my favourite places. I love camping here. It's lovely scenery, the staff are very friendly and helpful. The on-site inn is great for food and beer. The facilities are great, and on top of that it's in a great position to get anywhere else in the lakes. I can't wait to retu
Stayed here for 4 nights and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were helpful and friendly, showers were free, there were plenty of toilets and showers too and the shop had everything you could possibly need. Access to lots of beautiful walks, a lake only 10/15 minute walk away, a dog walking field
I can't really talk highly enough about this camp site. We spent 3 nights here up from London and had an amazing time. The camp site is nestled in a beautiful valley over kirkstone pass alongside a working organic farm. You feel right amongst nature from the moment you arrive. The helpful staff were
Had a pitch for a campervan, without awning (pitch 22). Beautiful location with great walks from the site. Pitch was quite small as there are 3 pitches (approx 4 metres for each van space, only 1 other van there which we were grateful for or it would have been too cramped) so best to book a pitch wi
One of my favourite getaway destinations. I'm now nearly 29 and I've been coming here since I was literally a few months old. My parents used to take me and my siblings here every year for a camping trip. It became a tradition, and now it's a tradition that I'm carrying on with a family of my own. M
We had a lovely weekend staying in room 9 in the bunkhouse. A friendly welcome, clean facilities, and a useful kitchen (incl. fridge, microwave, kettle). The mattresses aren't comfy, so bring a blanket or mat to pad them out. Would recommend booking in for dinner at the pub, delicious food, great vi
Easy check in. You can help yourself to a space on the field if your camping. Not enough toilets, but they are clean. Good for walking and using as a home point. No phone signal on 3, Data or Wifi. Nice pub 2 min walk, with a decent pint. Great instructions on email for getting there etc. Yea, I'd r
Loved this place. Stayed in the bunkhouse on a 'lads relaxation' few days. NB - Rooms = Bunkhouse review only. Recommended.... Rustic & eclectic bar area. Nice beer, nice staff & good food - evening menu varied options Inc veg. Good portions . Massive Haddock portion. Gorgeous roast pork special -
This is our third stay and Sykeside and it was as lovely as ever. The site is really well maintained and the facilities are always clean. There is the Brothers water Inn more or less on site which does some lovely food. Also the on site shop is very well stocked. Staff are great.
