Staying at the nearby campsite we took a wander down to watch the early Saturday football match on the TV and then wander to Telscombe Cliffs. Barman was very welcoming. Ordered the tavern burger, its very big and quite expensive, but unfortunately they follow the trend of making burgers taller instead of wider, making it difficult to eat.
It did take a long time to arrive, but was told the patty is made fresh.

We were a party of 10 that went on a Saturday evening and the food was amazing. We had a lot of different dishes but every one was cooked to perfection and there was plenty on the plate. The guy (owner?) behind the bar was so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely be going there
Had an amazing roast beef dinner yesterday. The beef was amazing just fell apart, roast potatoes was cooked perfectly and plenty of vegetables. Great value for money. £13 pound for a roast and a pudding.

Great value for money lunch menu. Staff really pleasant and welcoming.
Great food, beer and service food was better than most places have been in the area, view from back isn't bad either.
Pub accommodated a group of 35 of us at only a few hours notice. Service was prompt and efficient and the food hot abd tasty.

The food and staff were brilliant. The only negative is being sat near the men’s toilet. People often come and go and the smell was off-putting.
Would definitely return if seated elsewhere.
