Just finished eating a meal. 6 of us. Very nice food! Very nice staff. Very friendly. Good quality food in my opinion. Well worth a visit. Our first time there. Will definitely be going back. Lovely building. Comfortable surroundings. The best bit, it was quiet and we could have conversation without having to shout! It was a Monday though so I guess, expect it to be less quiet on other days. Certainly recommending it! 👍👍

Lovely, clean modern rooms. Beautiful surroundings. Staff are so friendly and welcoming. I have coeliacs disease and Chrissie went out of her way to cater for me and made sure I had a lovely dinner and breakfast. Such a shame It was raining so we weren't able to take a walk and explore but at least that gives us a good excuse to return!

Sat in the garden and had lunch. The views are fantastic and the food is very good too. The staff are so lovely nothing was a problem they went out of their way to make sure everything was ok . Even stopped and had a chat with us. Very welcoming . Great menu you won't be disappointed.

We stayed nearby and visited the pub lunchtime and evening and it was very quiet both times. However the service was quick and friendly and we enjoyed the beer. I believe there is a restaurant area but we stayed in the bar area as we had a dog. There is a car park and garden.

Love this quite sanctuary In a beautiful part of Luton with rolling hills all around. The food is out of this world and the land lady are staff are too kind The rooms are clean and quaint. Definitely a must for a quite romantic weekend away x

Perfect place for a drink before climbing the hill. Staff were lovely and we felt very welcome here. Nice garden too. We didn't eat so can't comment on the food.

High marks for the lovely location, the excellent food and the great atmosphere. On the other hand, it is not cheap and the food - although excellent - could be slightly improved in some respects (e.g. more choices of Sunday mains would be good, and the celery with my cheeseboard was limper than I'd have liked) but it really deserves 5 stars for the superlative staff - the jovial proprietor and the beautiful and attentive staff (of both sexes) were much appreciated and enjoyed.

Absolutely cracking hotel, the bar is a lovely area to socialise and unwind in with good food on the menu. Martin and the team are great, rooms are a good size and really there's nothing to complain about bar the proximity to the road which did wake me up a couple of times. However, a very good hotel!

This hotel/pub got us out of a sticky situation.... or rather the Bull pub, just up the road, out of a sticky situation! They put us up at a minutes notice, at the request of the Bull at 2230 on a Thursday night! The room was really great, good shower, double bed, big tele (although we were too knackered to watch it) and warm rooms. The next morning we were getting ready to go to a wedding and the mirror lighting (at a sink in the bedroom) was very well lit and placed. There was a nice big full length mirror too - loved this for getting ready! The room was situated in what looked like a purpose built bloc, very nice. Morning breakfast was OK, the scrambled eggs were a bit peppery for me, but it was a decent feed. Juice and cereal was also available and all included in the cost of the room. We paid up and left here happy... if a little late for the wedding! We couldn't stay here on the Friday as there weren't spaces, so had to pack up... The Bull to try again in the afternoon. The owner phoned us to confirm that there were no spaces that night. He was nothing but helpful. Thank you all at Live and Let Live. Sarah and Peter (Southampton)

I use this place as a basecamp when going for a walk in the beautiful pegsdon hills. The pub serves good food (Sunday roast seems v popular) & the selection of beers seems to be generous (though I am not a beer drinker myself). Has a beer garden when the weather is fine & a conservatory when it is not. Old pub with plenty of character in panoramic scenery.
