Very pleased with the service, the quality of food, the price and the environment of this restaurant.
Very friendly and professional manager, met some new waitress (Not very sure on some questions we asked, but super helpful to check with their team to clarify our question.)
The quality of the food is very high. Very nicely decorate and taste perfect. Definitely will come back again if we are visiting Cardiff!

Visited Pier64 as a belated Valentine's treat away from Set Menus and the like. The main thing that's obvious is that the venue is a bit of a cut above the standard Cardiff fare. Super classy but still relaxed and not stuffy at all. I had scallops to start. Extremely well cooked Scallops, the pea puree underwhelmed but the flavour of pea was still there thanks to some peas on the plate. The main was incredible. A perfectly medium rare rib eye with fat that had been rendered down beautifully. I'm almost crying thinking about it now. Dessert was a lovely chocolate fondant. Would reccomend fully for a lovely date night or posh meal with some mates.

Fantastic evening. Wonderful ambiance and incredible setting over the marina. Maitre d' was charming and our server Alex was absolutely brilliant. He spoke the language of hospitality fluently and I'm sure he has a bright future ahead of him. I think this venue is the best steak grill in Cardiff. All of our steaks were grilled to perfection and don't get me started on their charred onion steak sauce, incredible. Even the owner and his friends were eating here last evening. Loved our experience can't wait to rebook. Just go and thank me later.

Treat yourself and visit this fantastic restaurant. Situated in Penarth Marina, with views overlooking the quayside, its a lovely modern restaurant serving fantastic food. It's not cheap, but you get what you pay for! High standards all round. In the warmer weather, you can pop in a have a drink on the delightful terrace area overlooking the marina - you don't have to be eating to visit this place. The terrace enjoys a sunny aspect from late afternoon's in the summer.

Excellent staff. Great setting. Perfect for drinks, dining and meeting friends. The staff member who served us outside and eventually inside was fabulous. V attentive. In fact she "If there's anything you else need then I'm your girl". Very bubbly personality which is just what you need on a relaxing evening with friends. Highly recommend. Though remember a coat if your sitting out. It can get a few crosswinds from the channel!

Food was great, views are lovely. The staff were very nice. A little confusion on our order but there seemed to be a member of staff training and it was sorted and we was served our food with not a long wait.

Just occasionally we come across a place that eclipses the norm, and this was just such a restaurant. The service was impeccable, friendly without being pretentious, and we had a lunch that was notably excellent for each of the courses individually, and the accompanying wine was superb. Definitely one return to again and again.

What a nice place to have a party, restaurant ground level, then a function room on the upper floor.
Everyone enjoyed their time.

Pier 64 will serve you fantastic food, great cocktails and provide a friendly service.
The steaks were perfectly cooked and sauces were stunning. The staff were friendly and attentive and sorted out extra sauces very quickly. The cocktails from the bar were also amazing and the restaurant had a relaxing vibe.
The only downside was the chunky chips were slightly underdone. It is expensive so we would expect it to be perfect but I can say the meal you will receive is well worth the money. Give it a visit. We will be visiting again for sure!
Thanks Pier 64 for a lovely evening.

Went to a party there. The room upstairs was overlooking the boat dock which was lovely. It was a good size for smaller gatherings. It was very clean and the staff couldn't do enough for you. Drinks a bit pricey, but you are down the Bay.

This is a very beautiful restaurant and the food is wonderful but it took forever for someone to wait on myself, my son, who just graduated from University of South Wales, his wife, her mother and my grandson.
We had one person take our drink order. We had to flag another server down to take our appetizer order and finally someone was assigned to wait on us, after I asked for one but I'm happy to say she was exceptional.
She took care of all our needs and checked on us regularly. She made our visit 4 stars. If we had her from the start this would have been a 5 star review.

Super amazing ambience, well behaved staff. Their mozzarella sticks and hot dogs are just yummm... Reasonable price. Nice place to hangout with friends.

If you set yourself up as a 'Steakhouse and Wine Bar', and if your menu is divided into 'Steaks' and 'The Rest', you have to be confident in what you offer. Especially when your some of your prices stray into Hawksmoor territory, by common consent one of the very best steak restaurants in the country. (Note: I know what Giles Coren says about people who order steak in restaurants. I could care less. But not much.) You might even say you'd have to be bullish. Arf. But then if you previously ran Le Gallois, you'd presumably have the whatnots to back up such claims. Penarth Marina is an excellent spot for a balmy evening; any food tastes better eaten in view of water. The emphasis is on simplicity, despite the sometimes flowery language of the menu. You're setting your stall out with terms like 'divine' and 'cooked to perfection' but the word 'simple' offers promise. You won't find 'turbot gently weeping on a tristesse of cauliflower' here; still less, 'tumescence of lettuce' or 'foreclo

Arriving at Pier 64 is a pleasing affair - even on a coldish and dark Saturday night at 9pm. There's generous carparking available and the location of the building on stilts in the water is clearly a winner. No doubt it'd be a good bit better on a bright and sunny day too. A member of staff lunged forward to open the door saving us the hassle... of erm, y'know, opening a door for ourselves... #firstworldproblems

Pier 64 is so much more than a simple steakhouse. From the new, ultra-modern, stilt-set building to the fantastic marina views, that come summertime, will bring dreams of the Med. We had a truly amazing lunch in Pier 64 and there wasn’t a steak in sight.

Now, Pier 64 describes itself as a Steakhouse, and it certainly does what it says on the tin. Other than the range of steaks, it has only about 4 other options – chicken, fish, lamb or vegetarian. It doesn’t look as if these are going to change regularly, so if you weren’t a big steak fan, you’d soon get a bit bored of the menu I can imagine. What it does have is a nice selection of salads, all of which are available in a starter or main course portion. Despite some other attractive although fairly staple starter options (smoked salmon, ham hock terrine, oysters, king prawns etc.) we decided to share a salad of black pudding, pancetta, soft poached egg and sunblush tomatoes. This was absolutely fantastic (as you can see from the fact I didn’t manage to get a photo of it intact before we dived in!) with the black pudding cooked perfectly and complemented very well by the crisp pancetta, warm poached egg and juicy tomatoes. A definite hit with us, and something I’d consider as a main cou
