Had a lunchtime meal Gammon Steak and Freshly Beer Battered Cod both with homemade chips. Well presented, large portions and tasted bloody marvellous!! Well worth a visit, lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. What more could you ask for!!
Cannot recommend enough. Food was delicious, they rearranged their schedule for us. When we had an issue the staff was great.

I went to a Christmas dinner here last night there was quite a few of us! The staff were very helpful and attentive. The food was absolutely amazing large portions and so delicious the best meal i have had in a very long time will 100% be coming back thank you so much
Food is excellent had a meal on the Saturday and then booked for the Sunday dinner, portions large and food was quick and ate every bit. Staff are fantastic and attentive. We were recommended as family live in Penrith and would highly suggest to anyone! Waitress was friendly and great fun, definitely will return.5 stars plus

A very friendly welcome!, All the staff could not do enough to make our stay comfortable. Very reasonable prices, proper home cooked food!. Rooms very clean, fresh and comfortable. Bar and restaurant tastefully decorated. We will be staying again.. This place comes highly recommended!!
Lovely traditional pub near the train station. We went in for a meal and were not disappointed. The Steak pie was delicious and my husband and daughter had roast beef dinner which they said was lovely too. They have a nice range of real ales too if that's your thing. The staff were friendly and helpful and they made sure the tables were cleaned between customers.
This is a great place to be. In fact the food is filling, fair price. Been with my kids, partner to here. New Years Eve, generally anytime i'm 200 miles from home up here. To be honest it's a pub that does what its suppose to do.Cheers.
Lovely welcome, clean rooms, with everything you need for a pleasant stay, including WiFi, fan, fridge.
Staff most helpful & very hard working. Definitely recommend the steak & Ale pie or delicious rack of ribs, & lamb shank melts in your mouth. Breakfast lovely with Cumberland sausage yum yum to food. I would definitely recommend 10 out of 10
