Visited this week with friend who is a chef / caterer and we were blown away. Food superb - amazing value but also best steak , pork we have had, ever. Service superb, vibe great - not pretentious or stuffy but friendly and all about the food. Only criticism would be the seating makes it tricky to sit more than four together.

Went last night with some friends. Excellent meal just like being at a steak house in Canada. Will definately be back and recommend going.
Excellent steak cooked to perfection. The staff are absolutely superb. Very friendly and always go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Been here around 6 Times now and cannot fault the place.

Dont often write reviews but, after tonight's supper The Rooster Grill, I just have to! The supper we had this evening was amazing - the most delicious steak with sides, and very reasonably priced. The excellent service and relaxed atmosphere helped to top off a very enjoyable evening. We will be back!

Good selection of steaks and burgers cooked over a wood burning grill great smell in the restaurant also there is a pit oven for bbq brisket and ribs.
Good children's menu well priced see photo.
Also a happy hour for 8quid including a pint of Stella or bottle beer
Staff are fresh helpful polite. Food is great I recommend the big boy breakfast if you're hungry or if 3people want to share it. Thanks and we will be back for another 1 when in you're area. Service is with a smile and great environment. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.
On arrival the staff were very friendly. Me and my colleague got the rooster breakfast and they were happy to swap items we didn't like off the breakfast for something else. The food was good, filled us right up, good value for money!

The restaurant is freshly renewed. It is in new Mexican grill bar style. There is a lot of drinks choice - alcoholic and non alcoholic. Food menu presents with a choice of burgers - beef, chicken or vegetarian. There is also steak choice, where you can add some oz. to the size of your steak as all of it is cut and freshly made on the spot, no frozen stuff. After a meal you can have one of desserts from the menu. There is also kids menu with plenty of choice, so you can go with your children. We've been there yesterday and ordered steaks with chunky chips and sides. To be honest I think it was one of the best steaks I eat so far - I asked for a medium and I did get a perfect medium. Chips were delicious as well. We did not expect that to be honest. They are also serving breakfast in the morning, so we are going to try that one day. The service was excellent. I highly recommend this place to anyone. The best time to go is either Thursday, Friday or Saturday as it is open till 21.30, other days just till 15.00.
Stopped here on our way to Scotland. Had the breakfast and it was really good. Great menu choice and good prices. Would definitely stop here again. Staff were friendly and polite too.
We stopped off here on the way to Scotland as we wanted a quick bite. Don't be put off by the confusing , but ample parking and garage forecourt look to the entrance. The food is great value cafe food, really well cooked grill. No plastic sausages in sight.
The best part is the really friendly service, which was great. I messed up my drinks order and they offered to change it with no fuss.
If you want to avoid the services crush and don't want a long wait, this is the place to stop A66/M6
Great place for food. Very generous portions- you get a good feed here. Food items are quality and the Rooster breakfast is the best in the area.
Easy access from the M6 motorway with plenty of free parking. Well worth a stop if you are travelling through or near Penrith.
The Greasy Spoon but with no grease! Great big helpings of breakfast, fresh cooked, meat from local butcher. I love getting a mug of tea with the bag still in!
Handy for fast meals that are real meals. They use good quality meat and you get a full plate of food....definately won't go hungry! You don't have to wait long for a cooked meal. It is also pretty clean and nicely decorated.
This road side cafe is excellent, a good choice on the menu and very pleasant staff. One added bonus is that they have a kids and pensioners meal. That tickle me but am grateful
