Nepean River The Coffee Club

Went here with my partner. The food tasted beautiful and was definitely filling. We ordered 2 egg bennys. On the menu it was very unclear it had options you could select out of than under it had extras and the money it costed. So we picked egg Benny with bacon and halloumi. Didn’t say anything about the halloumi costing extra. Than we paid for avocado as a extra. I’m the end it came up super expensive as they were unclear about it costing more, except for the avocado that we knew was extra. Definitely recommend checking before you order. Staff were nice and food was yummy. Coffee was also nice and their smoothies.

We were there literally for hours, had coffee, then lunch, went for a walk and went back for more coffee and cake! The service was great, very well mannered, professional and friendly staff, couldn't fault them. The food was good, well priced and generous enough for a big guy like me. The desert was excellent. The setting excellent.

The location being right by the river is great, there are lots of parking options, and it is dog friendly (has an outdoor area). I love the ambiance and staff was friendly, but the food we ordered (shared platter of calamari, pesto, bread, olives, chorizo & spicy onion rings) was not that good. We went there on a busy Sunday so it is possible that the cooks were overwhelmed but I would have expected the food to be better than that. Coffee and frappes were good though.

Located across the road from the Nepean River this is a great spot to have a coffee and feed. My running friends and I usually drop by after running the loop around the river. They usually do a pretty good job but yesterday my hot chocolate was disappointingly weak. Two of our group who were served five minutes behind me were also less than impressed. The coffee drinkers were happy with their orders though. Hopefully this was a one off experience.
