Lovely tea room with a smaller menu but lovely things. We really enjoyed our visit. Great looking building and garden. Very friendly staff. Nice selection of teas.

Probably the best English tearoom I have ever experienced. Located in gorgeously picturesque Penshurst, it is the picture perfect village with the church bells ringing the hours beside Penshurst Place. Oh, the tea, sandwiches and cakes were delicious

Lovely traditional tea room with a beautiful garden and great service. Keep an eye on opening times as they are quite limited.

We stopped by this tea room today and had a fabulous afternoon tea. We ordered the scones and cake, all of which was delicious. The chocolate orange cake is to die for. Lovely quaint old building and the staff are very friendly. One of the best tea rooms we have been to. We will be back.

Treated myself and my daughter for afternoon tea and came across this very quaint beautiful old English tea room. The lady that tendered to us was very friendly and professional food arrived quickly and of very high standard. Being a cake baker myself the cakes were just perfect especially the beetroot and chocolate and the lemon drizzle cake. I wanted to buy more to take away but sadly it was all selling very fast so I couldn’t. We had afternoon tea for two with a selection of sandwiches followed by scones and then choice of cake with a selection of tea to choose from. Would definitely recommend this tea room but I feel in the warmer days this would get very busy indeed but plenty out outside seating

Various teas, home made cakes, scones with jam & cream, sandwiches (we had home made smoked salmon pate)… enough for two at £16.80… Lovely country cottage garden too. If we opened a tea room then we’d hope it could match this very lofty standard. Nice friendly staff too. It all had that special ingredient missing from many places these days - a bit of class.

Have been going to this tea house for many years and it never disappoints. The lemon cake is the best I have eaten anywhere and service was efficient even on a very busy Bank Holiday Monday. Very pleasant to sit in the garden with pretty flowers and bird song.

Absolutely gorgeous little team room, we turned up 5 minutes after opening and it got the last table luckily. We all had a drink, scone and cake, all delicious. There's a range of about 20 teas, coffee and soft drinks to compliment a selection of home made cakes, which after chatting with the owner I gather she makes fresh every morning. Price was reasonable for the area and beautiful building, £8.50 each for a pot of tea, very generous slice of cake, and a scone with home made jam and cream. Would definitely stop in again without hesitation!

Probably the best egg & mayo sandwich I ever had! The coffee and walnut cake was also lovely--soft and not too sweet. Lovely scones too, served with locally-sourced jam. The waitress was also very nice and helpful. I look forward to going back!

Perfect cup of tea with scones, cream and jam sitting in a lovely English garden. What's not to like?! Bit of a queue to get a garden table but well worth the wait.
