Review The Red Lion - Perranwell Station

We went twice while staying in the area. The food is fantastic and nicely presented. We can really recommend the steak and ale pie, crab salad and the fish and chips. Also very friendly staff.

We visited this establishment to have an evening meal. There was a great choice, and this included a vegetarian option for my wife, which isn't usually the case. The children were catered for also, and even my to fuss pot children were happy with their dishes. The staff were extremely helpful, friendly, and polite, and they answered our many questions without hesitation and even offered their opinions regarding our questions. We actually left wishing we live nearer to this place as we would return without hesitation.

A wonderful place, great food and some smaller meals which were just the right size for myself and my husband. Wide choice of menu and a delicious mixed fruit crumble which I shared, well not much of it! Our first visit but certainly not the last. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Found this from the reviews on Google whilst driving back from Penzance to St Austell. Really glad we did! Food was lovely but the staff were exceptionally welcoming and friendly. We arrived at 5pm and food doesn’t start till 6pm so we got a drink and the bar staff sorted us a table (most tables had been reserved) and we settled down for a game of cards before ordering. It’s a tiny place but very warm and welcoming. Hubby ordered fish and chips and I had the stake and ale pie (based on others reviews) and both were really tasty and very filling! Excellent prices .. two Meals and two drinks £36. We only had card but asked how to include a tip as service was so good and we were advised to round it up to whatever we felt which we did! Not the best photos as I was starving and forgot to take them before we started! 100% recommend if your in Cornwall.

Small friendly village pub with outdoor tables. A range of local ales, and a varied menu with vegi and vegan options. A selection of seafood dishes looked enticing, but we enjoyed the steak pie and the chicken stroganoff, served with a variety of local vegetables. Treacle tart and baked cheesecake to finish. Indoor tables fill up early , so book in advance, or sit outside on warm evening.

Small country pub. Easy parking. Penzance Brewery ales on handpump. Good food menu with choice of veg included. Extremely helpful and pleasant service. Good value for good quality. Recommended.

3 course meal and drinks £37, a lot more than before brexit but about average now. Good value as good size portions and plenty of veg. Chairs are sadly uncomfortable.

Not somewhere I'd describe as cheap, but well presented meals, filling, with a good selection of drinks. Classic Cornish pub, friendly service and a warm atmosphere. Went for the gammon special, thick cut, very much enjoyed - if a little salty. The game pie special was also had by another in the party and highly recommended. Note: dog friendly! Many lovely small dogs and puppies in there when we went on a Thursday evening.
