Sushia Izakaya

The chefs at Sushia Izakaya prepare modern Japanese cuisine to hungry patrons seated in their clean & well presented restaurant. The dishes we had were great; the chefs did well to accentuate the delicate flavours of the fresh produce we were served. The wait staff were attentive & knowledgeable, and overall it was an enjoyable experience. Price wise, this restaurant is on the more expensive side of the spectrum, and dinner and drinks for two cost just shy of $300. There is an option to do a set menu, however with our dietary restrictions we were unable to take advantage of it.

Fantastic sushi rice and fresh fish. Service staff were prompt and courteous. Pricing is little hefty but well worth the price in my opinion especially for their lunch sets. The unagi rice set is simply fantastic and the tempura prawns were fried to a fluffy batter equivalent to many of the finer restaurants in Japan! I would certainly return if I have the chance to visit Perth again.

I've got invited by my friend to go try Sushia Izakaya restaurant in Brookfield Place. I would say that some of the dishes are good but some it's a bit too sweet for my liking. We ordered the Omasake 1 menu. The first course was the SHAKE SASHIMI Fresh salmon sashimi from Tasmania It's really and refreshing MISO SHIRU Japanese miso soup, tofu, wakame This is just your standard miso soup. GARDEN SALAD Assorted baby greens in Sushia dressing The salad selection is pretty good. I love this dish a lot. TEMPURA MORIAWASE Lightly battered prawn and vegetable tempura The tempura was just right and the dipping sauce is really good. SHAKE KUSHIYAKI Salmon skewer, Japanese mustard miso sauce TORI KARAAGE Japanese deep fried marinated chicken, spicy aioli PORK BELLY Twiced cook pork belly, hatcho miso, pear ginger salsa The pork belly should have the right consistency i.e meat, fat and skin should be proportioned. There is no crispy skin, the fat to meat proportion is a bit too much fat not a lot of meat. The pork felt like just boiled pork with ginger. It's This is my least favourite dish. EYE FILLET Kinoko teriyaki sauce The eye fillet was cooked just right. Unfortunately, the sauce in the dish is a bit too sweet for my liking. CHEF'S DESSERT It was a green tea dessert and it's really good. I will return but not try their degustation dishes.
