Simple Italian Cucina Pizzeria

After seeing the Google reviews we decided to take our friends here for a birthday treat but we were slightly disappointed. The portion of the pasta was very small. The taste was really average. The quality of mussels was not good. The pizza was okay! And dessert was pretty average too. Lipsticks on one of our drinking glasses and fork still had food stain. Service was hit n miss probably due to lack of staff on a public holiday.

I visited for the first time on a Monday night when not many restaurants are open. Simple is very pretty and cozy. The environment has a beautiful and pleasant lighting and decoration. The service was kind, friendly, and attentive, we were very pleased. The pizzas are delicious. The dough and fillings are made with quality ingredients. The dough is thin and tasty. It is possible to order pizzas with half in one flavor and half in another. This time we chose a 4 Formaggi, Suprema, Appetitosa and Calabrese. We also ordered a Mango Mule Mocktail (it is not alcoholic) and it was delicious. The restaurant also has many other options for entrees, pastas, meats, wines, drinks, and others. I believe the most requested are pizzas. The experience at the restaurant was very good so I will definitely come back.

We had a work group dinner at Simple Italian. Because we pre-booked, we didn't have to wait. The food was excellent (in my opinion). I ordered the Parma ham & mushroom pizza (pictured) with a side salad. It was delicious. Although I didn't personally pay, the menu prices reflect the quality ingredients used in the food. Not too expensive for what you get. The service seemed pretty good and we didn't wait long for the food to arrive. The venue inside was welcoming with an authentic Italian ambiance.

Very attentive staff. We came in for lunch and it wasn't too crowded which was nice. I ordered the tuna and it was amazing. Pan seared on the outside, medium rare on the inside. Just the right amount of olive oil and salt. The dish was very well balanced in terms of taste. 10/10 for the simplicity and taste. Thoroughly enjoyed my meal.

Simple is good. Simple is often enough. And in the case of the cucina named Simple they have absolutely nailed it. This place is worthy of a much more hip location, like Gastown Vancouver or Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, PRC. The atmosphere is lively, young, fresh and just sophisticated enough without leaving you feeling out of your depth; relaxed and good quality.
