Nasi Lemak Korner

Nice restaurant with nice decor food was ok but rice was cold when it arrived.. given the name of the place is the food i ordered and it seems like it is their speciality, plus the premium price for a dish that is usually not so expensive, I expected more. It is disappointing when the specialty dish is not as good as many other vendors out there, and do not charge a higher price, its no wonder the place of almost empty when i got there on a Saturday lunch time, i believe more attention to their main dish will help their business better.

We had the Beef Rendang & Fish Curry, and thought that the meals were absolutely delicious. For me, it was the best Rendang I’d had since a holiday in KL. The service was really good, and atmosphere bubbly. The waiter/maître d' and waitress were very attentive. We’ll be back soon to try the laksa next.

Bad experience!! Never answer their phone. Booked twice from the fork both time was cancelled by the restaurant. First time was in April which I booked for our family of 8, they cancelled our booking the day before via email. We decided to give them a second chance in June we made a booking for 3 pax for Aug - mum’s bday. And one month later today, the booking was cancelled again. Very disappointed at this restaurant. I don’t think we will ever book this place again!

Average at best and very far from authentic Malay food. The best dish we had was the sweet potato noodles. The chicken was overcooked and the sambal was only spicy and lacking the depth of flavour you get from real sambal. Service was also really slow, although it was a packed out evening, but from what we saw, a lot of takeaway went out while the tables got to wait for their food.

Tasty food at a reasonable price. Generous serves. Good ambiance, but can get a bit noisy. Service is friendly and courteous, but can be more orderly. The biggest problem is seating. Chairs are rather uncomfortable and if you are really unlucky, you will only get a stool with no back support. But all in all, we had a great evening at this place.

I would give it a 0 star but cannot be done. Do not make a reservation with this restaurant through any apps such The Fork, Quandoo or the restaurant booking facility. Apparently it been closed for several months, the owners have not bother to advise the appropriate organisation or amend information on their website. We booked last week via The Fork for lunch today. Upon arrival we found the restaurant closed, we waited for 15 minutes in case the owner was running late but no one came. It's unprofessional and inconsidered not to advise appropriate organisation & amend website of the closure.😡

Great looking restaurant. The staff who took our ordered made us feel a bit hurried though. I did make a mistake ordering a spicy nasi lemak (Nasi Lemak Sambal Ayam) which is quite tasty but provided so much heat than I can endure. My partner got the Beef rendang and reckons it could have been done better. I did ask for milk but apparently there was none. 😂 I do want to give it another chance though.
