Caffetalia Ristorante & Pizzeria

Absolutely brilliant. We came here last night and had the best time. The food was delicious (seafood pasta, entree deep fried calamari, entree calabrese sausage, lemon lime meringue pie), all of it - i even ate 3/4 of the bowl of chilis in oil; the service was friendly and understanding, and the serving sizes were exceedingly generous. I highly recommend it...

We ate here on a Friday evening. It was very busy but we managed to book a table on the night. The service was friendly and efficient and the food was delicious. I had the veal saltimbocca. Sadly, the restaurant is closing, but they're opening a new one called Roberto's on Bennett Street, and I look forward to eating there as soon as it opens.

Authentic Italian restaurant which is actually run by Italian people! Service is very good, they treat you with care and attention, trying to make sure you enjoy your meal and have everything you need for that to happen. Food is very nice, decent amount of options and even a few vegetarian ;) Regarding the cafe attached, coffee is really nice, they sell baguettes that look amazing (haven’t had the chance to tried them yet) but they are freshly made and stuffed in the moment you ask for one! Variety of cakes and ice cream to choose from if you have a sweet tooth. I have to admit that sometimes even if I’m not in a coffee mood I go anyways cause I enjoy talking to Roberto while he prepares one for me! Super nice person! I recommend!

Good and cozy venue Friendly staff and they work very effectively and fast We ordered Quattro Formaggi pizza - four cheeses, really well flavored and cheesy. I like the pizza crust, thin and tasty About Ravioli, it's hot inside, soft and juicy Next is the lovely Parmigiana with Spaghetti bolognese, Parmigiana is crunchy outside, hot inside, chicken is soft, not dry at all, a little bit salty, which matches perfect with their spaghetti. Because the spaghetti is saltines with the sour of tomatoes sauce. I really into the Parmigiana, rarely see any restaurant has the chicken cover with the powder without any gap like this venue, it's stunning for me. Carbonara Pollo is normal, not really stand out for me Move on to the desert.... Tiramisu - homemade - is soft, tasty Apple pie is amazing, it's sweet but not too sweet, work well with the ice cream. Normally in other venue, their apple pie is really sweet, but not this one, which is really good Overall, the food is good, the venue's atmosphere is cozy, however the price is a little bit high!

The food is not the reason for this one star. Also, not the waitress who is very friendly. This one star comes from the manager (I assume), who told us that I could not share the pizza with my partner. We just had Korean BBQ before. We didn't saw there is a sign says "pizza is not for share" anywhere inside the restaurant. So we were asked to order another main even we actually did not want it. Because he said " this is a restaurant and we don't allow to share the pizza." I am not sure this is because both me and my partner are not white. If this is because of racism, I congratulate you that you were the first racist I have met in my six years living in Australia. Super disappointed and annoyed.
