Sun Seng Chinese Restaurant

17/04/2022 Looking forward to an awesome meal of Chinese food…. This would have to be the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. The beef chow mein was like soup, the satay chicken was pink and had no flavour resembling satay, the sweet n sour pork was like some sort of pork jerky- even the sauce couldn’t soften the pork..the honey chicken was like something made last month and the fried rice was passable…don’t waste your money and taste buds at this establishment..absolute disaster!

Last nights take away of sweet and sour combination and special fried rice was the worst Chinese meal we have ever had. The rice was stodgy and tasteless the sweet sour sauce was watery and no resemblance to sweet and sour, it had mainly tasteless fish in the so called sauce. Last time at that restaurant never again.

Ordered 4 dishes on Christmas Eve and was told would take 45 minutes which wasn’t a problem at all however when we got to the Chinese there was already 7/8 people still waiting for take away and it took 10 minutes just to take payment for the food we’d ordered and then waited another hour before we seen our 4 dishes meaning it took 1hour and 45 minutes for 4 dishes. There was no offer of discount or even an apology from anyone working and we felt they wasn’t really bothered either way. Will not be returning to our “Local” after this.

I have always has great food from this restaurant, but this time when the food arrived (through Menulg) everything was good except for the sweet & sour pork. It was so over cooked it was inedible. If I had been eating at the restaurant that would have been sent back for sure. Such a shame. That used to be my favourite.

Been going there since the turn of the millennium, the taste has been consistent and I like predictability. Many of my Australian mates been there without problems. Typical chinese restaurant menu, but one thing stoodcout was I recall the staff looked after my elderly mother quite well, quite uplifting, when we were regular customers dining in.
