Longlae Thai Cuisine

If you come at night, you will feel that the restaurant looks dark because the surrounding area is all home. Here, there is a menu of southern Thai food. Because I came alone, I ordered the menu that I wanted to eat. The taste of the food is spicy as it is southern food. It's close to what my mom does. I like it. This is real Thai food.

Came here from a friend's recommendation, a surprising gem among residential area, and a stone's throw away from Hyde Park. You'll have to park there or on the verge as there's not much parking. The food was good although they did ran out of cassava leaves which initially we wanted to try. We got a southern style spicy curry with pork soft bone and a serving of sticky rice to go with it. We also had a mild papaya salad which we glad we ordered it mild because the curry has a kick! We also got a iced Thai milk tea but we think it's a little bit too sweet.

very assuming and quiet residential cornershop. the food is delightful and very delicious especially the larb pork which I have never tried before. There is a very family home run feel in the restaurant which is very pleasant. The only criticism I have is that the serving size of the chicken and cashew nut stir fry was rather small for $15. Definitely returning :)

Bad impression as it was slow service. We decided to let it go since only one person working. But what was very dissapointed was the sticky rice we ordered. It came out hard and looks prepacked and the male owner and waitress didnt believe us and gave us a sour unfriendly look when we enquire about the freshness of sticky rice and more water please and worst part she said she will honour it on the bill to change the pricing but when it came to payment they didnt even ask how was the food and deliberately choose to charge us the sticky rice when he took it away and touch with his hands and only came back with steam rice. I mean them losing $2 is big deal for them compare to losing two customers. Trust me we would have ordered your fried fish but with the attitude we would not return- is the principal here and please charge fairly on what the customer order and dont give hard rock sticky rice. Please see picture as we put it aside. Anyway the larb pork was too salty and pad thai was too saucy. Tofu peanut wasnt great. It seems like they are very stingy in staffing levels and honouring customer complaints -_- . There are better thai restsurants out there. This was a rude and put off service.

Truly delightful service from the staff, kind and understanding. Two of us came for dinner We got Green Curry, Pad Thai, Tom Kha Soup all with chicken. Large white rice and egg rolls. The flavour of the curry was really delicious and spicy. The pad Thai was a good pad Thai but the Tom Kha was missing kefir lime leaf so tasted just like lime and coconut soup which was disappointing. Overall a good meal, at $63. I would however comment on the portion size. I understand it’s $15.50 for most each of the dishes I got, but the portion size is small. Where another restaurant would charge you $21 for the same dish it would truly be a two person dish. I came home still hungry. I didn’t get quite full on all this but at the price of dinner to expected to. The food was good and the people are kind. We didn’t have to wait for our food like some of these reviews did but we also came at 6 before it started getting busy.
