Urban Bowl

New owners? The quality has really dropped, very average rice paper rolls with limited fresh ingredient stuffing, the pork was chewy and fatty and they fell to pieces after one bite. Three used to cost $9, now its $10.50. They also used to have yummy ready made salads and raw balls/slices in the front counter area but not anymore :( I won't be going back.

I'll start off by saying that I've been here a couple of years when you first opened, and was blown away by the freshness and quality. I few days ago I went back on a scoopon voucher expecting the same- sadly I was disappointed. I made my order of noodle bowl with salmon, and received a salad bowl and raw salmon that didn't seem fresh. Returned it to the counter, they offered to microwave it for me... Yes microwave, not even pop it on the grill for a few minutes. Got it back and it was cooked, only to find out there were no noodles. Returned it again, received it back with apologies... Only to taste the salmon and start feeling strange taste. I kept going as I was so hungry by all the waiting, but I only got half way as I started feeling seriously nauseous... Had to leave the rest and rush out.... Normally I absolutely love salmon but have been put off it now.

Awesome stuff, especially if you have a Scoopon voucher. I've gone there twice - Had Chicken Rice Bowl + Springroll and soup the first time and had Beef noodle bowl with rice paper roll and tea the second time. The food is nice and fresh - the choice of dressing allows you to mix into any taste you like - only downside is the cutlery. Imagine trying to cut a minute steak placed on a bowl full of rice noodle with a tiny flimsy plastic knife. The outdoor seating is also good.
