Coffee Club

First time at this Coffee Club which was quite pleasant. Went with 2 daughters for brunch and between us had eggs benedict,bruschetta topped toast with bacon and egg and carrot cake. Food and coffees were nice and the cafe was not too crowded and had a nice atmosphere. Prices were average for a cafe and used my reward card to add on points.

Morning tea this morning. We have been regulars at CC Whitfords for years. I am also a Coffee Club member. We have noticed the last few occasions food & beverages have been below standard. Today we decided to give CC another chance, unfortunately we were once again disappointed. My hubby asked for an extra hot hot chocolate. Hot chocolate was lukewarm and the chocolaty taste was missing. Also no marshmallows. My piccolo although good quality, it was lukewarm. The slice of mud cake was very dry. Unsure if we will return????

Let me begin by saying that the QR code/app ordering is a brilliant innovation, and made ordering mine and my wife's meals so easy. Big tick for that. My chicken Caesar salad burger was okay. I have to question, however, whether the chicken breast was pan fried or microwaved. It was piping hot, but quite rubbery with an inconsistent texture. Unfortunately I can't say that I particularly enjoyed the burger, but it wasn't terrible enough to convince me to never eat at the CCC again. The chips, on the other hand, were cooked and seasoned perfectly. My cappuccino was also very good. I was also given dirty cutlery but the wait staff behind the counter were helpful enough to give me cleaned utensils. So stars off for a rubbery chicken breast and dirty utensils, and a star kept for the app ordering, but I'm not writing this place off. I'd be happy to give it another chance.

We were asked by the supervisor to use the scan and order feature because they said we can skip the line. Ordered using the QR code and got charged. We got a token number and everything. Waited for 30min and still no food or coffee arrived. Asked the manager and she told us no online order has come through. She then went on to blame us for the issue saying that we need to pay again and then come back to get the refund in 2 days (not our problem if your system doesn’t work). They finally put the order in and we got our food and coffee. As I was eating I pulled out a metal wire from my mouth because I couldn’t chew it. I was shocked to find that in my food. I told a waiter and he didn’t say anything and just took my plate away. We saw him talking to the manager and then nothing. They didn’t come talk to us or try to fix it. At this point we were really disappointed with the service. They refunded us and gave us expired vouchers. Terrible customer service from the manager and team. No care given.
