Living Green Cafe

First impressions looked promising. We sat outside to soak up the winter sun before we were told that the seats were reserved for bloggers that were coming later (no reserved sign was on display). My wife and I were expecting another couple, so the man had said that he would join two tables for us inside....this didn't happen. We ended up finding another few small tables outside. I ordered coconut milk beetroot and matcha lattes. At the time of making the order, the lady didn't appear to have knowledge of their own menu, and looked confused. My wife received her beetroot latte, however it was served with cows milk rather than coconut milk. They eventually corrected the order which took a while to arrive. I felt that the staff were focusing all their attention in preparing for these 'bloggers' to arrive, rather than paying attention to their existing customers. On the plus side, their paleo pumkin bread was nice, 2 stars.

Really strange experience here this morning. I was the only person in the cafe and I waited 35 mins for a coconut milk latte & the paleo pumpkin bread with poached eggs & smashed avo from the menu. When it finally came out it was a cold slice with nothing on it with a pile of spinach leaves next to it. The woman told me she couldn’t poach eggs and she had tried and she was sorry. It was quite bizarre. I was given change as a refund. There was multiple people who came in and left as she couldn’t serve them as she was busy making mine. She was lovely but clearly not competent and there definitely needs more staff working here at once. Used to be a fave not sure if I will come back after this being the second bad experience.
