The Fair Maid Stonehouse Pizza & Carvery

Met with family for a late lunch after being up north on holiday. We all opted for carvery and were all very impressed with our meals. The meat was delicious, the veg and potatoes were hot and fresh. The Carver was very friendly and helpful, the man who greeted us at the bar - I'm presuming the manager - was lovely too. All in all, a very positive experience at the Fair Maid

Yes, it's a chain carvery type place but they also promote their fresh dough pizzas. Haven't tried any yet cos the carvery was far too tempting. We went at 6pm on a Friday and it was already busy. Best to book! We got a table easily enough though and, between us, got the gammon, beef and turkey. And all the trimmings you could want. No, it's not a fine dining restaurant but it does serve great food. We'll be back.

Really nice place to eat. Friendly Family orientated. Enjoyed Cavery. I had the Turkey Roast. Meat was Juicey, Vegetables where fresh. Loved the Roast potatoes and the Salad bar. Very filling. I was impressed with the price and the quality of food. Where I was seated did make all the difference, as I was comfortable. Background music was good too. Play Area was ample. Did have a Children's menu and kids drawing activity, which helped save kids from getting bored, however did not have napkins on the table had to ask a member of staff. Did not spoil my time here though. Would go back.

Very good carvery and not expensive. Had not visited for many years, since it was a Toby Carvery!!! Will be back very soon. Booked a table for 16 for daughter's 18th birthday dinner. Unlimited vegetables and salad with choice of roast meats. What's not to like. Other menu options look tasty and reasonably priced. Pudding is at a reduced price if main course is ordered. Could not eat because we were stuffed.
