Good food but wouldn't say it is truly authentic. We ordered Chicken Ramen and Chicken Katsu Curry. While the chicken katsu is nice, rice noodles (pad thai noodles) was served in the chicken ramen instead of ramen noodles. I guess they should name it chicken noodle soup instead? Nonetheless, still tasted decent. The staffs are really lovely and friendly.

I recently visited a Japanese restaurant in a small city and was pleasantly surprised by the nice ambiance of the place. The decor was tasteful and created a relaxing atmosphere for a meal. I tried the salmon and prawn tempura roll and the unagi roll. While the taste was reasonably good, the fish wasn't the freshest and the rice was slightly overcooked. This did take away from the overall experience, as fresh fish is a key component of Japanese cuisine. Another issue was the price - the rolls were slightly overpriced for what they were, especially considering the freshness of the ingredients. Overall, while the restaurant had a nice ambiance and the food was decent, the overcooked rice and lack of freshness in the fish were a bit of a letdown. Additionally, the slightly high prices made it hard to justify the cost for the quality of the food.

You don't go to Scotland and have Japanese food but I am so glad I did. Everything was cooked to perfection and the flavours were a delight. As a vegetarian I had so many options to choose from which was refreshing The haggis balls were a unique item and super tasty. I know I will be returning to Koku Shi when I come back to Scotland again. 😊😋

Good authentic Japanese food in Perth, lots of options and sharing dishes. Interesting cocktail choices. Very pretty interior and well decorated, unfortunately it was very oily smelling.

Initially, I thought the service was a bit slow but then it was a busy Saturday night. The gyozas were extremely good and staved off some of my hanger. I got the seafood ramen... Unfortunately the noodles were very overcooked and soggy, however I'm still giving 5 stars because the staff got a fresh one out to me within 10 minutes and acknowledged the problem. The seafood was delicious and it was great to have a variety of vegetables in the dish. The waiter then even offered complimentary desserts which really changed the whole mood to a 5 star experience.

Amazing...what a place, amazing food, stylish surroundings, great service, and the best company. Delighted to have found this place in Perth, the menu is the stuff of dreams, we are looking forward to many visits to Koku Shi to enjoy as much of the menu as possible. Highlights include the most delicious seafood ramen, octopus balls, and the salmon tartare. Get involved! You will not regret it:)

Took my daughter here last week ahead of her return to university. Very impressed by food, staff and ambience. Daughter said it's better than any in Edinburgh. Not cheap, but great experience

Solid sushi! I especially loved the salmon avocado Futomaki. We also got two California Rolls - Sweet Potato and Tuna. The California rolls were underwhelming for the price, but the fish was fresh and I really enjoyed the seaweed salad. Service was excellent.

Had two starters, two main courses two rounds of sake and an Asahi beer. Very good service and could not fault one part of the meal nor any part of the dining experience. Bravo to the owners and their great staff.
