My Partner took me for my Birthday. We had the tasting menu. It was delicious and we left the restaurant full. Nice relaxed atmosphere, gorgeous food, and lovely people. Will definitely come again and recommend to friends x

A lovely place to grab Sunday lunch! Food seemed like small portions but was very filling and delicious 🔥 The service was very fast and the staff were very friendly. Definitely recommend the chettinand chicken (extra spice can be requested for the spice lovers) with rice or butter naan.
Thaalis have been discontinued 🥺
But still, definitely will come again❤️

I've been eating at The Banyan Tree since 2018 both as a dine-in and takeaway customer. This place has some of the best Indian food you'd ever find. Some dishes like Mysore Chilli Chicken, Lacha Paratha and Paneer Reshmi cannot be found at most other restaurants and these guys execute the recipes beautifully. Their Mixed Grill is also one of the best I have had. Highly recommended place to go to surprise someone or even to eat by yourself. They consistently improve their recipes and maintain excellent customer service. Love it.

Really enjoyed my visit, very welcoming and friendly with a good balance of service and just leaving you to enjoy your meal. (Which I liked) the staff were helpful when asking about the menu and especially when asking about the levels of spice and heat.
The meal was extremely good and I can only recommend and compliment the restaurant on their food and the quality of ingredients
We had a great time and nothing was too much trouble, we found it was reasonably priced for the quality and standard of service and the food presented
Will most definitely be back again and recommend the Banyan Tree to anyone , thank you again and see you soon

Not the same as your usual expectation of an Indian reatraunt, I.e. like for like. This is well balanced, although the menu is not as extensive as some, the dishes are varied and a welcome tweak on some of the classics. Good quality, reasonable price.

We celebrated my grandson birthday party in Banyan tree. Chicken tikka and Sheekh kebab tasted great. Lamb was well cooked. Biriyani would have been made better. But overall it was a great experience. I recommend Banyan tree for good Indian food.

My Indian food plug. Food is amazing and customer service is top notch. I have tried other Indian restaurants, but Banyan Tree has my heart🙃

Budget friendly Indian restaurant, love the variety of dishes they have. The staff is very friendly and the ambiance is lovely. Along with 90s Bollywood music in the background it gets the feeling of being in India.

Came across this little gem of a restaurant, they’ve just added Masala Dosa to their menu and all I can say is WOW! Incredible,
I’m quite fortunate with my job that I get to travel all over the world and I always seek out for Dosa restaurants. Very impressed, I also tried the gunpowder Cauliflower starter that was 1 of the best I’ve ever tasted.
While I’m in the area, I will 100% be back.

What's not to like... The cocktail menus are a thing of beauty all on their own, let alone the scrummy booze they promise. We went for all the starters, neither of us being massively hungry.
We were utterly defeated, and delighted.
The Indian dim sum were a turnup for the books, and SUPER HOT - caveat emptor

I can consider this visit as successful. After lunch at "The Banyan Tree" I am able to write that I was satiated and spend time in a great atmosphere.
A typical Indian music that gives the climate. The decor also allows you to feel like in India.
Men who served me meals was professional and very kind and attentive.I do not know, but maybe because I was alone, I was often asked if food tasted good I think that this is an advantage. Everyone working there, except for the waiter, is from India so I believe that no one is able to undermine the taste of meals.
For appetizer I ordered 'Veg Manchurian' (spicy vegetable dumplings wok fried with eastern spices and a little twist of the orient) always as I order the appetizers their taste knocks me down in a positive sense, it was also this time. Delicious, so I recommend it! I asked for a dish that reflects India and the waiter recommended it to me 'Bhuna Ghost'(succulent lamb slow cooked in a medium heat massala with whole spices and
a hint of caramelised onions.) I was not disappointed, the dish was good and in my taste.I recommend this dish because I feel the spices that are important to me.
For the dessert I ordered a specialty from India 'pistachio mother kulfi'(pistachio ice cream in a pot) served in a special dish. I also sipped 'Mango Lassi' .
All dishes were served very nice.
The waiting time is good and affordable prices.

Very warm pleasant atmosphere with excellent hosting skills. Really enjoyed our vegetarian lunch - each dish had a unique taste of its own. Stand alone presentation of each dish was exceptional and would highly recommend. Definitely dining here again and again. Well done to The Banyan Tree for providing such a wonderful dining experience

The food was DELICIOUS!! The staff were really lovely and provided great conversation and they try their beat to seat everyone in an area to still have the privacy of communicating with those you come with. All in all it was a amazing place to be

Good food served with a smile. The owner was friendly too, came over and had a chat with us. I run a business as well and can appreciate these little friendly gestures.

Had no idea such an amazing restaurant existed in Peterborough. New menu, friendly staff and exquisite cuisine. Such an exhilaration experience and friendly to the pocket too. Excellent food - great for that special occasion or just a treat.

It was big releief when I see a Indian restaurant. Ordered a Briyani, there was options for spicy levels. Really the taste was very good, even sometimes it's not available in India itself. Staffs were very kind enough, every single moment of the time they look for the feedback. Much satisfied service. If you are in Peterborough, please don't miss be here.

Had kari dosa at the restaurant and I was melted by the taste and presentation. Hats off to the chef. Awesome feel too…

Almost everytime i am in Pboro i always try to make homage to this restaurant before i leave.
What can i say? Firstly the food is outstanding. Prepared and cooked well. The texture and blend of spices are remarkable.
Now i have eaten in many indian restaurants around the country this would be right up there with the best.
Customer service was excellent too and have the modern system of orders being taken electronically to expediate orders is a bonus.

The meal we just had at the Banyan Tree, was at best mediocre, my wife had a lamb biriyani apparently people rate it very high, well my wife asked if I'd like a taste which I did and I have to say the lamb tasted nothing like any lamb I'd ever eaten before totally tasteless, the only good thing I can say is the peshwari naan was nice. The bar staff have a problem with the English language,(eastern european). And the service was terrible, we were asked by one eastern european waitress if we wanted the desert menu and we hadn't even had our mains as they were very slow with the service, sometimes that can be a good thing but not as slow as the Banyan Tree, we won't be going back ever.

My family had a great night New Year’s Eve. A set tasting menu which was amazing. Really friendly staff and atmosphere. Definitely recommend it

First time visiting. Had fabulous cocktail. Food lovely. Service was great, warm & friendly. Would defiantly recommend x

Fabulous restaurant, first time there but we had a special menu, we were there for a charitable cause and they cooked something off menu (I think), drinks are a little expensive but the food was fantastic and service impeccable.
Karen Dell
Service was excellent unfortunately no 'dry' dishes on the menu, wasn't impressed with the keema naan although the peshwari was lovely. I thought it was average
Giles Lawrence
Superb meal, and the lamb curry is to die for (not literally :) )
Ian Barnes
Best curry I’ve had in ages and that’s saying something. Great selection of normal to the unusual dishes on offer. We came away smiling but waddling.

Fantastic food, service and prices. Whats not to like?
Leonie Pujol
Really enjoy my meal every time I visit the banyan tree. I'm vegan, and they always know what I can eat - and offer a good, varied choice
Dean Rickards
Usually use this as best Indian in town. Their lamb dishes are divine. Will be back for some more

I come here all the time when I'm working in Peterborough! I've been to a few other places in the area with colleagues and we all agree Banyan is number one. Great service, always get looked after - I just need to say "the usual", couldn't recommend it enough.
Abhijit Chowdhury
Excellent place if you are looking for good Indian food. Lamb chops are of special mentioning, just awesome. Very good staff and overall service.

I was putting up in a hotel just opposite Queensgate Shopping Centre and I was always on a lookout for good places to eat. After a while I really craved for Indian food, and thats when Banyan Tree came to my rescue. <br/>Saag Paneer and Butter Chicken with Naan was super delicious. Highly recommended if you are in the city centre and wish to eat Indian food while in Peterborough.

Very good Indian food,. Honestly probably the best I have ever had. My brother in law took me there, he is Indian... And his mom even has her own Indian cookbook... So he knows what he is talking about, and he even thinks it is one of the best. Loved the sagg paneer and another spicy chicken curry with peppers.
