This was my go-to pub for food during my 9-day visit to Peterborough. Especially the 3 small dishes for UKP 15 turned out to be excellent value. I had them three times, exhausting around half of the options available. My favourite was the burrata with white beans salad, which I ordered on all three occasions. Lovely. The other two I changed with each order: small tacos with pulled pork and mushrooms, respectively, and all three available versions of tater tots (with pulled meat, Buffalo sauce and chicken - my favourite - and mozzarella and hard cheese). Always well-prepared, always delivered in good time. The best value food on offer if you're really hungry.
The pub itself is a rustic traditional establishment, with nice seating inside and out. 4 cask ales available (most times), of which I often chose Adnams Ghost Ship. More beers and lagers are available on keg. Service was friendly and efficient. It's a popular pub with locals, but I always found a seat in the outside area, which looks out to the Guildhall and Cathedral Square. Really good option for superior pub food in Peterborough.

Delicious Pizza! Cooked in a real oven which gives it that stone baked taste. Went for the incredible value lunch time deal at £8 for a pizza and a pint!

Great pizza! Fantastic dough! Was there to watch the rugby but sadly no commentary available so moved onto somewhere else at half time.

A very quirky and fun pub. Lots of thought put into the decore.
We went for food. Most of my group had pizza which went down really well. I had a couple of salad sides and chicken wings. The salad sides were a great surprise, well balanced flavours, and good sizes for sides. The chicken wings were OK, the meat tasted a bit like it had been frozen for too long.
Staff were friendly. The chief was extremely careful with gluten free food and even took the time to check I wasn't eating what wide ordered, which was not gluten free.

Only went for drinks so can't comment on the food but it was a nice vibe and good outdoor seating so you could hear each other even on a Saturday night! Also, certain drinks seem surprisingly cheap which is a bonus! Pretty fast to get served, busy inside, but calm enough at the tables outside. Not bad!

We really liked it here. Good selection of beer and lager. Good background music. Didn't try the food so can't comment on that.

Really lovely pub! Stopped here for a drink in the afternoon it was quiet which made for a nice conversation spot
Really spacious with a good amount of tables or varying sizes. Great range of beers on tap and incredibly friendly staff
Will be back next time I'm in Peterborough!

Amazing staff, great service! Such a cool little pub to visit! Live music is fab on a Friday too!

Lovely pub, bigger than it seems from the outside. Plenty of seating inside and there is a beer garden, too. Absolutely delicious pizzas and cocktails. Very friendly and welcoming staff.

Absolutely fabulous pizzas, the shroom one was so tasty with the garlic mushrooms and the tater tots are a firm favourite. Lovely staff and relaxed atmosphere

The best place in Peterborough to sit and chill with the friends or alone. Very friendly staff, nice atmosphere, delicious pizzas and original beers. I loved my Banana bread beer which I haven't seen anywhere else. I would recommend this pub.

Popped in as I saw it was new with my girlfriend and our lil one. Atmosphere was very chilled and great choice of music playing, the best thing though was the 2-4-1 pizza on Mondays, the pizza was amazing as so was the rosemary and herb crushed potatoes. Staff were friendly enough and was always checking if everything was good, to top it off the outside is beautiful.
Will definitely be returning.

Booked via facebook which was handy. The pub has a very quirky design and suits the place. Large Lizzy makes lovely pizzas, had the Lardo which I enjoyed. Menu is small in comparison to other places but suited us fine, no chips so be warned chip lovers. Garlic bread was disappointing, quite dry and not much garlic. Drinks are on the expensive side but for people who enjoy their pints I'm sure they wouldn't mind.

Great place, layout, atmosphere. Staff cant do enough for you, very welcoming. Haven't eaten there yet only drank, but can't wait to try the menu. Will definitely be returning 🖒

Staff are friendly but if I'm honest, the pizza was average. The real kick in the teeth however is the prices, over £3 for a pint of Lemonade is frankly daylight robbery

For our first trip to Peterborough we decided to grab some lunch at The Queens Head pub in the square. We ordered a child's pizza for my 6 year old daughter and it was bigger than her head! And she absolutely loved it. Our pot meals were pipping hot but far too delicious to let cool down. Staff were very friendly, we had a dapper looking chap look after us who was lacking in hair but had an abundance of good cheer and service with a smile! Fab pub!

Many thanks to the staff at the Queen's head for our complimentary pizza's and drinks today for opening weekend. Food was excellent and very friendly staff. Pub layout itself very good too.

Really loved the fresh pizza and garlic bread, spicy slaw and good range of lagers. Have tried to visit before, but busy at weekends. Thursday evening was a great time to visit, after work, free parking in Quernsgate. Fast, efficient and friendly service

Food, beer and staff all very good. Visited on the 22nd March 2018 with two other work colleagues and ended up having pizzas sides and dips all of which were excellent, very nice decor apart from a statue of Maggie Thatcher. Would visit again if in the area.
