The Cuckoo - Peterborough - Photo album

This pub is fairly chilled out but can be quite busy on occasions. Specifically Mother’s Day, valentines, Christmas etc. but that’s not a negative at all. Young and friendly staff always whizzing around working hard. The food is a balance between slightly posh and pub grub. Depending on when and wha
Usual a good place for food. However we went for a pizza and as they are stone baked and really very good. Bit disappointed to be told after we sat down with our drinks that they had no dough for pizza. I had the steak which was a little tough to be honest. The Eton Mess for pudding definitely pulle
Booked a table for a meal with family, having not been to The Cuckoo before did not know what to expect. Arrived a few minutes early but was shown to our table. Some of our party have dietary requirements that were catered for with a separate menu and the use of a tablet and app to check ingredients
Although I've visited The Cuckoo several times, it was the first visit for my son and best friends. They enjoyed the food, venue and friendly staff.

"Menus are by the laptops". Not a hardship to get my own menu but a bit unusual especially if like us you don'tknow the place. Staff for the most part very welcoming and polite. Didn't have to wait long for the food and really enjoyed my chicken burger and dessert but very slow to clear plates. Our
I have to give this place 4.5 stars. Not everyone in our group was happy with their meal, but all in all, it was a great evening. The service was excellent. The drinks came out quick and were made well. The place is so nice inside with lots of seating, both in the bar area and the restaurant part
Food was lovely. Staff were friendly. Nice pub and reasonably priced. Drinks to table was slow as busy at bar Friday eve. 15/20 mins wait. Had 3 courses and drinks and enjoyed the lot! Slow cooked belly of pork special was incredible!
Went the during the week, lovely atmosphere especially with both of the fire places being on. Was served by Gift who was amazing and very friendly. The food was really good.
What a lovely little boozer! Splendid evening, we make an annual trip here and the cocktails made by Caris were remarkable, nothing was too much hassle and we were delighted 😁
My experience at this pub is positive and would come bck You do order drinks and food at the bar after grabbing table outside or inside. Our for was brought to us after 15 minutes of wait The food tasted good and what we ordered we would order again, next time I will order fish and chips because
Greeting was great, but was then sat at a small table for 4 people, we asked to be sat at a larger table for 4 and was first left waiting for about 15 minutes and no response and then questioned again to be told we couldn't move because the other table was fully booked. On that bigger table then sat
Visited this Vintage Inn with my mum at 5.45pm on a Monday evening in October 2023. We sat in the bar area for a bar meal, ordering at the bar. I had halloumi and green grain salad and my mum had gammon, eggs, chips and peas and everything was absolutely delicious. My expectations were not that high
Staff were nice and welcoming, 4 of the 5 meals were perfect but one was dry and overdone and not described with cheese in it when it did. The fizzy drinks weren't fizzy. When we told the staff they refunded the overdone meal and were lovely about the whole thing. Would recommend going here and I de
