The new owners are very welcoming. Had great food and service
Very nice Sunday lunch, large portions, prompt and very friendly service. Recommended.
Amazing pub with amazing food. The new owners have really brought life back to the place
Lovely country village pub. Very friendly and welcoming staff. We had Sunday lunch and it was very good - a proper authentic roast dinner and reasonably priced. My parents have eaten there on a weekday too and have always liked it. I would recommend people to try this pub. I will be back 😁👍
Excellent old fashioned pub. As in, how pubs used to be, and in a good way. I only had a beer, no food, but it was an excellent pint of Bateman's XB. Inside is a dining area, main bar, and a nice courtyard beer garden outside.
Had not been to the Ruddy Duck 🦆 for over 10 years but decided to return due to the menu selections. Eight of us went for dinner on a 19.45hrs booking. Unfortunately the kitchen had run out of steaks which four of us would have had. However our second choices did not disappoint. I had the steak and
First time since it reopened the beef was lovely the staff were friendly
Situated in a nice village the Ruddy Duck is very welcoming and run by effecient and friendly staff. It benefits from plentiful parking and good interior and exterior dining opportunities. We went under lifted Cover restrictions, however they maintained a high standard of care. We chose to have the
Had an evening meal ....food was lovely, staff very pleasant and the restaurant area is welcoming. Will definitely be back to try some more food and would recommend anyone to try it out too.
Only stopped for a quick drink. What a wonderful pub to find. Staff very welcoming, good variety of drinks available. Didn't have anything to eat but food being served to others looked very appetizing. Look forward to returning and trying the food as well.
Lovely fish and chips 😋
Lovely family village pub. Great food and great service
My second visit to the Ruddy duck, I decided to go with the mixed grill and I was not disappointed. It was delivered on a huge plate a piled with different meats all tasting delicious. We were a group of 7, and we all got are food in a timely manner and piping hot. The only downside is they could
Good value Sunday lunch. Top marks on yumminess (but fussy me reckons presentation could be worked on). Eat there!
Incredibly friendly local pub, with good food, and brilliant staff. For some perspective, I visit when I'm visiting family, and I live around 160 miles away - whenever I visit, I'm asked if I'd like "the usual". Not the kind of service I usually get in my usual haunts!
Well kept local secret. Excellent pub grub venue, plenty of seating but book ahead at weekends and especially around Christmas. Roast dinners, fish and chips and well kept beers, all a cut above the competition
Michele and I use the Ruddy Duck often. Landlord and Chef Andy produces good wholesome homemade food and his wife Sue serves a good pint and is always friendly. The Ruddy Duck is not a glitzy modern pub but you'll find a traditional friendly village pub welcome. Sunday lunch is superb. Proper fresh
