Fantastic food location. One of the best pubs I have had the pleasure to visit. Landlady a credit to the pub trade. Worth a visit any day of the week.

The room was gorgeous and so clean. I enjoyed the full English plus the staff were so lovely and welcoming, I just was not happy with the location. I did not realise that it was not in Peterborough but just outside. Was still able to access the activities we did as Peterborough was only a 20 minutes drive.

Just had a Sunday carvery with our family. The food was cooked to perfection. A selection of 3 roast meats with a large selection of freshly cooked vegetables. Meat choice today was turkey, beef, and gammon. Service was excellent, and all the staff made us feel welcome. We will definitely be back again.

Popped in after an afternoon shopping. Welcomed and taken to a table. Service was good and food was excellent. Steak and ale pie enjoyed both both my wife and myself. Generous portions.

We hired the venue for our wedding. Gail and Ellie were very accommodating and made sure our day was perfect. The whole team are all very professional and helpful. We couldn't have done it without them. Would highly recommend and would definitely use them again.

Great stay at The Black Horse, Baston. Arrived on a busy Friday evening (very loud but friendly locals!) Staff were very welcoming and showed us straight to our room which was enormous! Shower was amazing and very powerful and the bed was comfy. Only downside was the decor was not at all in keeping with the building or bar which was modern country rustic. Lots of sparkly silver and black in the bedroom and hallway...not nice. Full English Breakfast was lovely and service again was excellent. We'd certainly stay again.

I was at the black horse for a wedding. And I can not find any faults. Beer summer lightning, excellent, staff and service exceptional. Which I had first hand benefit of, as a late arrival to wedding and missing the bbq, Gail very kindly arranged for me to get a burger and chips which was of a very good standard. So I'd like to say thank you to all the staff you've done a great job.

We had a truly wonderful wedding reception. Everyone went out of their way to make the whole day such a memorable occasion. Gail especially was exceptional, from the first meeting to discuss our wedding, to the last dance on the day, she catered for our every need and nothing was to much trouble. All the guests commented on how good the venue, food and reception were. Thank you to everyone at the Black Horse. Debbie & Phil xx
