Clarkes Peterborough

We have not visited the Fox before, but it was a nice day so we decided to head out of Peterborough to grab a spot of lunch and see what we could find. The Fox was a definite find. It looks pretty small and unassuming from the outside, so the inside is a surprise. It seems to go on for miles! We were immediately shown to a seat by the window and handed our menus. The selection of food on offer was good, and quite reasonably priced. We had a main course and a dessert each, and we were pretty stuffed! I was particularly pleased with my pork burger, what came wrapped in paper. This prevented my pet hat, a soggy burger bun. Someone was obviously thinking about their food! The service was good and we would definitely visit again.

We were looking for somewhere we had never been to before and decided to try the Fox at Folksworth. What an absolute gem! Modern pub dining with a great boutique feel. Lovely bar area and a large dining area with chandliers. Visited on a reasonably busy Saturday lunch time but seated quickly with no reservation. The food was exceptional. Everything presented beautifully and great flavours. The prices reflect the quality if the meals and we will definitely be heading back to sample some more of the menu.

Slightly off the beaten track, we discovered this little gem through the Michelin Guide where it's featured. Had a gorgeous lunch of 3 courses here and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. Stunning dining area with boutique feel, front of house staff were very friendly and the food was absolutely fantastic. Overall a great experience! Will be frequenting in the future.
