Our son thought the chicken balls were fab, the smoked chicken was delicious and a little bit spicy and the egg fried riced were ffaaaannnnnttttaaaassssttttiiiccc!

Lovely meal!! Served quickly and with a smile. Reasonable prices for some quality food. Chicken chow mein had plenty of chicken in it and cooked to perfection. Prawn crackers are probably the best I've ever had. We will definitely be back for more.

After a hard day moving house, we tried the Gourmet Inn and it's really excellent. Friendly people and quick service. We have quite a lot of experience with this food and clearly so do they. They even offered us plastic forks in case we hadn't unpacked them yet.
Oh and the food - delicious. The benchmark sweet and sour chicken balls were perfect. Crisp, not greasy and no doughy batter inside. Lovely. And the rest of the meal was tasty and good quality ingredients.
I expect our waistlines will be wishing we didn't move so close to this place!
I have tried many around the city and I believe that this is the best. I typically find that if I order a take away Indian or Pizza there is a level of consistency but a Chinese takeaway can be very hit and miss. I will order and I likely will not like one dish and something has not been prepared the way I hoped.
I cannot add to the negative comments regarding delivery issues as I collected. Food was hot, not greasy, well priced and will come back again.
Not had a take away for a while due to COVID restrictions. When I collected the front of house was wearing gloves, a face mask and had a partition from counter to ceiling to protect them and me.
Our favourite Chinese food near us, been ordering from here for years now. 4 star as they have chanced there shredded chilli beef and it's not as good.
One of the best Chinese take-aways in Peterborough! I always bet my delivery within 30 minutes too... sometimes even in 20 minutes. My fave dishes are Prawn Balls, Seaweed, Chicken Chow Mein, Salt and Pepper Squid! They'll also cut the duck for you too if you want them to.
Will make a curry less spicy for us weaklings lol. Gr8 friendly service and good size portions. Price also reasonable. Bbq sauce amazing too. All in all would definately recommend

I've been eating chineese food from different takeaway shops, but this one I love the most and I will definitely come back here again, as it's tasty, it is affordable and people who works there are brilliant..even a delivery drivers...Good luck Gourmet inn!!
Tried this for the first time today, and have to say, it’s as good, if not better, than any other Chinese takeout I’ve had. Even better, it’s only 5 mins away. Definitely using again.
