Ok I’ll start by saying I’m not here to bash the food by any means however here are some comments about the meal I just had from Gertis I got the chicken sandwich .. and let me say it’s huge !! In fact it’s way too big . It’s double the size of the bun and was way over cooked …. I love a good buttermilk breading but this was dry , way too over cooked and just a mess to try and eat. I even cut it in half …. Some of the sides of the chicken were burnt …. Cook it less …make it smaller and this becomes an incredible sandwich … I also got the beet salad which was really good …

We had an amazing birthday celebration at Gerti's on the outdoor patio. The ambiance was wonderful, menu selection was excellent, and every item we ordered was absolutely delicious. Many thanks for the mouth-watering, complementary, chocolate-caramel cake and to Jenn for making our evening so special.

My family and I stumbled on Gerti’s our first time in Peterborough and we were more than pleased. The service was so lovely! The food was exceptional! The roasted red pepper dip with the garlic bread, mushroom soup, fish tacos and clubhouse sandwich were more than what you would expect. Honestly, I look forward to returning as soon as we can. After one bite of the ginger bread cheesecake I asked for one to go. Wow! Thank you for making our trip end on a great note and something we will talk about for a long time.

Ordered for the first time a few weeks ago, fiance enjoyed his primal cuts burger, but my fried chicken sandwich was burnt, and the prices are too high to justify paying for burnt and just 'enjoyable'. Super disappointing as their menu looked awesome. *Edited to one star as the owner commented to blame me for not posting a complaint sooner - I casually post a few ratings all at once to give other customers feedback. Not my fault the food wasn't done properly the first time.
