Lovely small local pub serving home cooked food. The food was delicious and the landlady was absolutely lovely. We went with 2 small children and she went out of her way to make us feel welcome and be kind to the children. We will definitely be returning.
A lovely little pub. We were made very welcome and enjoyed two delicious meals during our stay. The Sunday roast was truly magnificent and the service very timely and friendly. The homemade ice cream made a banana split dessert fit for a king!
Great local pub, book for food. Beer great and locals very welcoming, chips voted by all of us as best we can remember. We did not book ahead but they still fried for us
Perfect English country pub. Intimate, hospitable, generous portions of tasty food, good prices, open fire and welcoming to the whole family, including 2 young boys who were delighted to also be given a little chocolate bar each as a ‘well done’ for eating their mains. Well maintained pint of Otter.

Fab entertaining landlady, nothing too much trouble. Home made food amazing and served piping hot. Will be back when next visiting area. Sharon & family
A large party of us had booked lunch. Timings perfect, service outstanding, food delicious. What more can I say. Go there!

Popped in on a Sunday afternoon after visiting Hay On Wye, not realising how late it was and being fathers day. Food service had stopped, but the lovely landlady Karen was more than happy to offer us a toasted sandwich. Toasted ham and cheese sandwich arrived with homemade coleslaw, and Chutney ser
Stopped off for a quick afternoon snack on a motorbike ride on a lovely hot sunny day. Great little place. Staff were very chatty & helpful as were the other drinkers. Only missed out on 5th star as garden is on a severe slope (drink sliding down the table!) and car park os perfectly flat! Swap them
