really nice place , very tasty food , great menu and huge selection of tray bakes & cakes!
Very attentive to my almost 2 year old daughter too which automatically makes somewhere 10x better we were offered a high chair straight away and her kiddies lunch came out first including fruit and a yogurt on a plastic plate and plastic spoon which you don’t get in most places and I have to take my own which is such a faff, from a mums point of view this place is a must go to!!
I will deffo be returning the man serving us was so lovely and welcoming , I will be telling all my friends and family to make the trip up for lunch.
The pear and almond (frangipane) tart was delightful. Had lentil and vegetable soup as well. Beautiful.
Stumbled across this place looking for some cheap breakfast and we were absolutely smitten! Staff was so nice and welcoming, the scones are homemade everyday and so delicious! We bought two to go. Also had the strawberry smoothie and a bagel with cream cheese. Their breakfast menu is simple and delicious (and served all day!!) and their lunch options looked great to. Really great value for money!!
Tasty food, reasonably priced. Clean and well kept tea room. Very good gluten free selection for Mrs B too. We'll definitely be going back.

A great new venue for Peterhead. They offer a selection of hot and cold drinks. Always a variety of snacks and fine pieces. Nice soup, sandwich and panini range also available. Lovely staff and reasonable prices. Well worth a visit!
A lovely little cafe that was a wonderful find,food excellent and very pleasant staff,wonderful atmosphere and I can highly recommend A Special Treat for somewhere to eat and drink,we'll definitely be back again when in the area

Great service, fresh scones made daily looked lovely and had several flavours a available. I Had the chocolate cake which was really tasty.
Always a fine place to get a fine piece and a lovely hot cuppa. All this with a rare smile too. Worth checking out next time you are in the vicinity.
