I took 1 star off as it only takes card and this is not obvious from outside (kiddos queued up for some time with cash to have to come get me and queue again with a card)
It is (sort of understandably) expensive, but for the location and convince it can be justified!

Helpful friendly staff and super covid safe set up.. Tasty panni and yummy cookie most welcome, sadly dog was not so keen on his dog ice cream, maybe he prefers caramel.. (also its best not to give a dog really cold frozen items in really hot weather)
More seating with tables would be welcome, some in the shade would be a great idea on hot sunny days
You need to be prepared the run the gauntlet of a large flock of Egyptian Greece, it would appear they are encouraged to congregate in the area by a person spreading lots of fee for them. Not sure why as they are not a native to UK and not endangered?

Enjoyed a cup of hot chocolate on this sunny but chilly morning whilst feeding a whole host of bird wildlife. My grandson entertained us all trying to make friends with the ducks and geese. Looking forward to a proper visit when life return's to normal.

At tte Plump Duck, we had a Luke warm Latte each and a Tuna and Cheese panini between us, which was very nice.
The Pond/Lake was lovely, and there were lots of different birds. There were two types of Geese Canadian and Egyptian, Moorhens, Coots etc., etc., and the walk too was very nice 🙂 we'll worth a visit.

I am absolutely disgusted me and a friend with a small baby walked to the park with some snacks it started to rain so we decided to grab a drink and keep the little one dry, my friend went in and asked if it was ok to buy a drink and sit in with our snacks, hoping for a gesture of good will as 3 tables were available and we would be a paying customer but we got turned away, I shook my head in disgust at the male member of staff and started to walk away home at this point he CONFRONTED me at the staff entrance which resulted in an unnecessary argument. Please note my issue is not with the facilities policy but with the staff members unprofessional manner when handling my dismay. I have used this cafe many times and sadly will never use it again!

This cafe is alongside a large lake in Petersfield, nice to walk around the lake, there is a children’s play area, there is many ducks,geese swans, after enjoying the lakeside amenities, you enjoy refreshments in the Plump Duck cafe.

This has to be one of Petersfields best kept secrets! Just love love love it here! The perfect location to get a cupper or something to eat while the kids to play on the swings, or after feeding the ducks.
