Review Rose's Fish Bar - Pevensey Bay

Wonderful atmosphere kind and friendly staff. Menu layout was easy to read. Very clean and tidy everywhere. Main seating area was sealed off not sure why but was getting take out anyway to sit on the beach. Cash only. Got the classic cod and chips, couple of battered sausages and extra chips. All very well done and not a long wait time. Great location right on the seafront.

Rose's Fish Bar provided 24 boxed lunches for a 70th Birthday celebration - various choices for adults and children. We pre-booked and the food was ready to take-away at exactly the arranged time, all fully labelled and delicious for us all. We could not fault the service or quality of the food and they made our celebration so easy and all the more special.

This is the only fish bar in Pevensey bay but IF there was another one it would struggle to be as good as this, yes a little bit more in cost but it's a small village and all the food, burgers fish and for me the chips are is cooked to perfection

I am visiting Pevensey from Kuwait 😊and wow this is by far best fish and chips I have tasted ... I had the Cod and the Haddock both were so crispy and delicious. And made fresh Mashallah. Thank you

Got take away probably 7-8 times in the past 6 months when visiting relatives in Pevensey Bay and love the fish & chips from here. Trying out the several options my favourite is now cod & cheesy chips & pineapple fritters. The portions are big, I love the old style card box and everything is always fresh. The girls & guys working there are really friendly. Definitely will be visiting again, the 🐟&🍟 is better here than in any of the restaurants in town.

This is our favourite fish and chip shop ever. Quick service, good quality and nice people. Only downside is cash only but you can take cash out for free in the post office next door. Makes for a great picnic on the beach

Best fish n chips around simply can't be beaten on flavour...if you have never tried your missing out.

This is the place to get your fish and chips on a visit to Pevensey Bay. Ideally located just a stone's throw from the beach, what better way to kill time than to get yourself a generous portion of above-average cod (beautifully crispy) and sit down on one of the benches on the seafront? At Brighton pier you could never eat your lunch openly, as those aggressive seagulls would rip it from your lap in no time (I've seen it happen on numerous occasions). The gulls in Pevensey are fewer and much more polite. The worst they do is to gradually come closer and moan so you give them some. Don't do that, BTW. The interior of the diner is very simple, in good weather you should always head to the beach instead. Good service and civil prices, too.

I have been using this fish & chips for years & they are impeccable! They do great portions & their chips are great!

To late to sit in but had a take away and ate watching the sea. The fish and chips were lovely. The place is spotless.

My first visit to Rose's at Pevensey. The ladies who served me were lovely and efficient. I chose to dine 'in' having a large cod & chips. Beautifully fresh fish with a lovely crisp batter. And all complimented with excellent chips. I shall certainly return and highly recommend!

The "Rock Salmon" which is now called Huss is delicious as always and a good portion of chips even though it says small.

Use rosies frequently, top fish and chips always fresh,piping hot,very clean can't fault it,one of the best chippy I've been too,A+++.
