Castle Cottage Tearoom - Pevensey - Photo album

A trip back to the 50s, a fabulous tea room, and somewhere we will definitely be going back to. Home-made cakes that remind you of home and childhood.
A charming place! We went for coffee and ended up having a cream tea. But they had a good variety of traditional cakes. The scone was good, although we would have preferred if they had had homemade clotted cream. But we enjoyed our cream tea anyway. The staff were lovely, from first to last. Very po
What a fantastic place. We came down to do a walk on the Pevensey Levels and round the Castle and had lunch here before we set off. I had cheese scones with chutney and cream cheese and it was amazing! My wife had Toasted Sandwich that was also great and wonderful pot of tea. Everyone there was so f

Not suitable for wheel chair users because of steps and irregular garden paths. Seating in garden, and toilet i
Lovely little place for tea and cake. Look out for poetry crockery and also the unusual salt and pepper Pots. It is quite tiny but on sunny days there are tables outside right under the castle walls. Then we come to the tea and coffee which were very good but outshone by the cakes. There were even
Just outside the walls of Pevensey Castle is this charming tea room, that is like stepping back in time to the 1940s with its music of that era gently playing from an old radio and service with an old fashioned charm it is a lovely place to visit for hot drinks and homemade cakes. You can sit inside
Quaint tea room with a lovely first impression from the outside. Pleasant and friendly staff and all food cooked fresh so expect a little wait (this was explained to us when we ordered). Varied menu and lots of lovely fresh cakes and warm scones.. definitely worth a visit.
Excellent tea room set in the era of the war. Lovely cakes. Nice place to stop whilst walking around Pevensey
A wonderful tea room with great snacks and cakes and waitrise service. Cafe is a typical old fashioned tea room serving up teas and coffees in china cups and saucers. A warm welcome is always given. Staff are fantastic. Very popular, so it is best that you reserve a table so as not to be dissapoin
Amazing place - like being transported back to the 40s! The owners obviously take a lot of pride in their business. Excellent home made cakes. Definitely worth travelling to if you are in the area.
