My partner, friends and I come here a few times a month! Lovely food, great service, dog friendly and an enjoyable walk down along the canal! Would recommend to everyone who’s in the area or visiting!
Fantastic hideaway inn in a secluded riverside location. Everything about it was just right. We had food from the lunch menu which was freshly cooked and delicious, at a good price.
Lovely gem of a pub to visit. Large outside seating areas for those warm days. Plenty of seating inside also and a lovely warm fireplace for the winter months. Food has always been delicious with home made chips 😋 staff are friendly and helpful. Would certainly recommend visiting 😊👍

I've been here lots of times over the years, and i have never been disappointed. The food is always of a really high standard with a great choice on the menu. The bar is always well stocked, and there is a wide variety of larger, ciders and IPAs on draft. The pub is a lovely place to sit outside in the summer and is dog friendly inside and out.
Me and my partner took our 2 big dogs on a lovely walk to this pub, we sat in the outdoor area and our dogs loved it! The food was lovely but we only ordered chips and onion rings so not to sure on there main dishes. Prices was fine and the staff did everything they could do help us. We will definitely be coming back again!
I'm very particular when it comes to pub roasts, they're usually hit and miss but this is probably one of the best pub roasts I've had. Service was great and the staff friendly and attentive. Excellent value for money too.
Lovely little gem of a pub right next to the water and countryside. Lovely food, great service at a sensible price. I would definitely go there again but I live in Hastings in East Sussex, so it's a bit of a trek just to pop out for Sunday roast 😂.
This is the first time coming to this pub, it’s actually quite nice. The meat is nice and soft, with any roast meal you get your chosen meat, some mash, Yorkshire puddings and some bowls of mixed vegetables to choose from and share with the table. I was quite surprised by the portion sizes you get with children’s dinners as they are very big.

Was looking for somewhere to eat and stumbled Upton this pub.
Great home cooked food at a reasonable price, the portions were large and filling
The pub had a really relaxed atmosphere and overlooked the canal.
Staff really attentive.
If I was in the area again I would definitely eat here.
