Cidsin Bistro And Gin Bar

We had one of the nicest Indian meals here. We shared the vegetarian tiffin and guidance on what to choose made that really easy. Previous emails regarding my nut allergy and the absence of nuts throughout the menu (just a couple of desserts) meant I could really enjoy the meal without worry - very rare for Indian restaurants in Yorkshire. Great, efficient service. Thank you for a really excellent and delicious experience - if we lived nearer we would be regulars!

Amazing food, amazing hospitality. We went there a year back and arrived an hour before the restaurant opened. The owner made us feel comfortable and got the kitchen to prepare earlier and served us amazing food even before they opened as they knew we were driving from Edinburgh to London and needed this stop. We still remember their food and hospitality and would like to come back to this place in future.

We went here for dinner and the entrance to the restaurant was lovely with a welcoming atmosphere. Inside as well the ambience is very upscale and nice. For appetizers we ordered DAAL SHAAMI KEBAB which was very light and delicious especially clubbed with the fresh chutneys. The main course however was a bit disappointing from what we expected. We ordered the LACHA PARATHA, PANEER HARA MASALA and PLAIN RICE. The paratha was a bit too doughy in taste and texture, and the sabzi was a bit bland especially after a few bites. This is just purely based on other reviews we saw and had high expectations based on that. Maybe the other items on the menu would be better. One good thing is they have plenty of veg options which was great for us since we are vegetarians. Overall it was an average dining experience, we would be open to trying it again just maybe order other dishes.

This was my first time eating at an Indian restaurant. Not being a fan of spicy food I was feeling trepidation. I need not have worried. The flavors were exquisite and everything was way beyond my expectations. Fantastic food. Wonderful service. Perfect atmosphere. Can’t wait to find something this hood back in the states and introduce my whole family to the joy.

Don’t miss it! Stumbled upon this restaurant while on my way back to Edinburgh. I’m glad we decided to stop by here for dinner and didn’t regret a single bit of it. What a brilliant Indian restaurant sitting in the Scottish highlands! Food is 100/10 The manager (if I’m not mistaken) he was kind enough to keep a table for me and my boyfriend as I had informed him in advanced that the drive will take some time. He was super kind to tell us to drive safe and not to rush. We were starving and wanted to have Indian food because why not. We managed to get a table in the bar area but the manager came to us the minute we arrived and got us a table in the dining area. But we kept the first one anyway. He also explained us the menu and gave us his best recommendations. Honestly, I’ve never felt so welcomed in an Indian restaurant outside of India. Thank you for being warm and welcoming! Will never forget this experience at Cidsin. ❤️

What a gem, hidden just off the beaten track! Really fantastic menu options bursting with flavour and an excellent list of 20+ gins. Owners and staff really care about explaining the rationale behind their menu and service was impeccable. Pitlochry has its fair share of decidedly ordinary places to eat, but this is most certainly not one of them.

What a beautiful location, stunning views from restaurant. Lovely helpful staff, amazing food.. Best Indian food I've had. Partner and I shared a Vegetarian Tifan. Lovely way to experience different dishes from India. Thorough enjoyed our meal, we definitely will be back ❤️ next time I'll photograph the food!! It was so tasty, smelt too good to not just dive in!!
