Had a lovely 3 night stay there last week and nice buffet breakfasts too. Loved the wooden decor inside the hotel very nice. Set in nice private gardens only 10 min walk to Pitlochry high street x
A wonderful building in a beautiful wooded setting. It has all the charm and atmosphere of a traditional country house hotel, yet it is literally a few minutes from the main street of Pitlochry. Clean and comfortable rooms, and helpful, pleasant staff. But what sets this hotel apart is the quality of the kitchen. The food is fine dining of the highest quality. Highly recommended.
Excellent refurbishment so for those of us who know and have sta in this lovely hotel it was nice not to sit down on dining room chairs with trepidation.
Room well equipped and comfortable. Lovely quiet location with beautiful view from window.
The only minor issue was I am still waiting for the iron and ironing board first requested on check in. I got the impression this might have been because of the very tight staffing levels throughout. But then the tariff was very reasonable for quality.
If you want a quiet comfortable place to stay you couldn't do better!
3 nights with buffet breakfast and first class dinners. Service was excellent without being intrusive.
Would stay again with hopefully better weather to enjoy the grounds as it was very wet for our stay but that didn't detract from a very enjoyable 3 night stay.
Absolutely lovely facilities, v. nice service, location in the forest, huge rooms (we had a standard room booked and got an apartment), everything in a great style.
Food - good if you like fine dining & want to spend quite a bit more. That's for dinner. Breakfast was very nice however.
One thing not to like: mould in the shower 🙈.
A lovely, sumptuous hotel in a beautiful setting. We were in the Coach House – a separate building with large spacious rooms which perhaps lacked the atmosphere of the main hotel.
Food and service excellent.
The hotel itself, staff and food was all top notch
Rooms have all been refurbished and are in good condition. My only one complaint would be that the layout is pretty awkward. Carrying 30kg of luggage up and down stairs isn't a lot of fun
Lovely hotel and grounds, rooms and food great. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend a visit
Everything about this stay was lovely
The hotel's location was peaceful and relaxing, the staff were lovely, food great
A great hotel for a weekend break - warm, welcoming and comfortable, lovely lounge area with a log fire, great for relaxing. Nice dinner choices, food well presented and tasty. Breakfast choices perhaps slightly limited, but perfectly adequate. All the staff were friendly and efficient. Will certainly be back.
This is a fantastic hotel to stay in. It was a surprise for my 60th. My wife booked it as a surprise for me and had invited my family without me knowing. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. Every bedroom was first class. We didn't have dinner as we had booked somewhere else but we did have breakfast which was Michelin class. We'll definitely all be back.
The hotel is set in lovely grounds in a central location within the outskirts of Pitlochry. The main town is about 10 minutes walk down a steep hill .
The staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful.
Food was very good, beautifully presented and included a vegetarian option.
The decor was tasteful and quirky. Although the hotel appeared to be busy the restaurant was not overcrowded and there were plenty of little lounge style areas to sit quietly read a book or play board games. There is a lovely patio area outside and a couple of benches dotted around the garden area.
Dogs are welcome.
The hotel is very good. My room was in the main building and it was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was starting to show some lack of maintenance, but it was still in good conditions.
Service is good and food is excellent although rather expensive (~£60 for a main + dessert dinner for one person), but this should be expected in a hotel of this category.
Location is beautiful, surrounded by trees, really quiet.
We booked the Hogmanay break as part of our Honeymoon and we were not disappointed. The hotel itself has a homely country lodge feel to it and the room we stayed in (Molyneux suite) was expansive and luxurious. All across the hotel there were numerous little touches to set the Pine Trees apart from the many corporate chains out there. The staff are all superb and ensure everything is perfect with a friendly enthusiasm. The food is top notch and cannot be faulted. The beef wellington was a particular favourite. The bar is well stocked and staffed to ensure drinks flow nicely throughout the evening. New Year’s Eve celebrations were excellent with a Ceilidh band and a piper to pipe in the New year followed by a man awesome fireworks display which this year was followed by a flurry of snow which couldn’t have been timed better. It may be listed as a 4 star hotel but it feels more like a 5 star. Overall we left the Pine Trees with happy memories and a promise to return.
Traditional hotel with great services.
We stayed here for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed it, the meal we had on night one was very good if a little pricey, the bar was well stocked and the staff were all lovely and took an interest in everyone personally.
Rooms were comfortable if a little dated, beds were grand and our bathroom had recently been refurbished so it was clean and the shower was great.
Overall a very enjoyable stay and we would recommend.
The best hotel I’ve been to yet. The Staff are very friendly and treat you like Kings and Queens. My family had a last minute getaway, and the hotel managed to fit us in for the bank holiday weekend. The hotel itself is very clean and modern, and also is great if you have a pet with you on your stay. The Hotel room was very up to date, with 2 4K Televisions, and a comfortable double bed, and a En-suite Toilet with a shower, toilet, and sink. (Can I just add, the massaging function on the shower was amazing.) at night time the living room had a log burner, and you could sit around it with a drink. Not forgetting to add, the breakfast was delicious. This hotel is by far the best hotel I’ve been to yet, and if someone has something bad to say about it, then they’re thinking of the wrong hotel.
A wonderful, welcoming experience where a few trivial issues upon arrival were rectified in a swift manner. Staff and management were tentative and nothing seemed like too much trouble, rooms warm and comfortable and breakfast plentiful. We will look to return as soon as possible. Many thanks to everyone involved.
