This is easily the best bakery in the world, forget that, the universe. The breakfasts are out of this world. Highly recommend the mushrooms on sourdough with a fried egg. Oh and did I mention the Brownies, there are no words. The owners and their staff are super friendly and we are always made to feel welcome. Highly recommend it.

The oldest commercial bakery in England. A lovely place for breakfast and their produce is award winning. Be prepared to eat your own weight in baked goods. It’s amazing.

What a gem! Nice and cosy, great location, delicious coffee, friendly staff, the list goes on. The Avocado Smash is a winner......beautifully presented and it just goes on forever, very generous portions. My only regret is not finding Jacka Bakery sooner.

We called in to Jacka's today just in passing and discovered an amazing baker, as my wife has got into baking her own bread now, we were very impressed by their bread and biscuits. The staff were very helpful in providing her with some tips. We are definitely making this a regular stopping point. Cake and coffee excellent too!

I have only realised that I have never left a review of one of my favourite places in Plymouth. The best bread around. Great coffee and cakes and oh la la the cinnamon swirls.hmmmm.Nothing better then sitting in jacka's after a mornings swim. Such a lovely place run by a really lovely family and staff.

The finest pasty in all of Devon, with few contenders that even come close. Lots of amazing sweet treats and freshly baked breads. Be sure to arrive early, as these delectable creations tend to disappear in the blink of an eye

As one of the oldest bakeries in the UK, it is a quintessential Plymouth institution, and one of my go-to bakeries here. Their sourdough bread, notably their malted barley loaf is my favorite. They do sell out of the creels (croissant wheels) by late morning, so do go early for them! The creels are lovely when they're fresh, so eat them quickly as they do lose their texture. Recommend: sourdough bread (including malted barley loaf), various creels, eccles Not notable: regular croissant, chocolate croissant, croissant cubes

Popped in while in Plymouth for an event. So I picked up a few lunch time snacks. Oh my! everything was delicious. Had a bacon and cheese bite which was gourmet compared to your average bakery snack. And the chocolate brownie was fudgey and flavorful. 10/10 will be coming back.

Crusty delicious tradition sourdough loaves. Excellent cakes and coffee. Delightful friendly staff and eclectic music. Small but warm with fine baking aroma makes it all the more cosy. Unusual and surprising cakes and puddings. Selection of Cook and baking books to read. Tiny place.. couple of outside tables in the noisy street.

A little gem of a bakery. Premium bread and pastries with a justified matching price tag. We visit every time we're in Plymouth. Often a queue in the mornings but all good things come to those who wait right?

What a great deal the £5 bag" at the end of the day" was! We were visiting the barbican and it was my daughter's birthday. The bag contained the most generous filled focciatia , four scones, a creel and what we think was a peanut filled brownie . Unbelievably delicious and the best cakes we have eaten for ages.

A small and delicious piece of history in Plymouth. The food is fantastic, the service is very good, even the clientele are happy and talkative. When your patrons are consistently happy it's a great indicator of your quality. If you're in the area don't miss this gem!

A lovely little bakery making great sourdough bread. The tart we bought had the crispest sweet pastry base I have ever had. They serve very good coffee too. Not cheap but well worth the price.

A divine bakery. I don't really want to share my review or this place with anyone as it's hard enough to get one of their sourdough loaves when I visit. Honestly there isn't a single thing they make that won't blow you away!!! The pastries, the bread especially the sourdough, it's just too good. Well worth the price tag and the queue.

A pastry and a cup of tea from Jacka is my Friday treat with a friend. Sometimes I eat from the menu too. The food here is absolutely outstanding and a real treat right on my door step. Good and honest food from talented bakers

I love this bakery. In the middle seventies I was sent down every Friday to collect apple doughnuts. Nothing has changed, brilliant

Can't forget those doughnuts 😋Coffee is really nice too! The only draw back for me is that doughnuts are not always available and I don't live close to the Barbican.

We used Jacka Bakery to cater for an office event which required a range of dietary requirements including vegan and gluten free, and everyone at the event was genuinely blown away by the quality of the pastries and how large they were! Plus Jacka were far cheaper than most of the catering alternatives, which made them the obvious choice for us. I absolutely recommend this bakery, and they make the best pain au chocolat I've ever had!
