We have spent a fabulous couple of hours in this wonderful bistro. The afternoon tea was delicious, the hot chocolate a dream and the staff an absolute delight. The baby grand with the 'play me' sign was the icing on the cake. Can't recommend highly enough

Booked a table for my mum's 70th birthday treat. Was just perfect, we all had the afternoon tea. One of the best I've had, so many lovely treats and plenty of it. The staff are professional and friendly and really looked after us. Thank you to Molly the chef who made all the nice food. Loved it, be back soon xx

We came today for afternoon tea to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We booked in afternoon tea for two and a badger cub tea also. The service was faultless, it was laid back but professional at the same time. The quality of food was fantastic. Soft drinks where locally sourced and great quality (luscombe) and the best bit was the tea selection. We where allowed to pick and try several different loose and bagged teas. There was a huge selection. Our son is almost one and really enjoyed it too, the staff where happy for him to toddle about, look at the fish, try on some hats. Thank you for helping us celebrate. We can't wait to come back soon ☺

Ate breakfast and lunch here over the last 2 days. Absolutely wonderful. I have coeliac disease and need GF. The food was delicious. I especially enjoyed the GF Gnocchi with garlic pesto. I have never had gnocchi before! The brownies are to die for and the local ice cream is amazing. Service was excellent too. Lovely friendly staff. Thoroughly recommended.

We've been here an abundance of times and never failed to leave without raving about the food and most of all the service. I always indulge my taste buds in something new each visit. The menu never disappoints and for special occasions Rumpus Cosy is a must for us. Certainly the best eatery in Plymouth

My friend and I had lunch here today, I had the crispy bacon, lettuce and mayo doorstep sandwich on the softest fresh brown bread...was absolutely delicious, loved the decor and the music, staff were friendly and polite. The whole experience was relaxed with no feeling of having to rush..I would definitely recommend to my friends.

Just enjoyed a tasty, filling 'fancy' Bubble & Squeak with homemade chilli jam. Currently in a nirvanic state and resisting the urge to lick the plate. ;) Also trying not to make eye contact with a particularly fine choice of cakes while I finish my Parma Violet tea. Lovely staff, relaxing atmosphere, comfy seating, cat pictures on the walls... what's not to love?! 10/10! Will DEFINITELY be back!

I am so happy that Rumpus Cosy is open again! Went in for lunch yesterday and was met by lovely staff and gorgeous food. The hot drinks (hot chocolate especially) were as amazing as always and the new menu was delightful! Rest assured it will once again become my regular!

This is my one of my favourite cafes in Plymouth. Lovely food, amazing tea, lovely people. It's great to visit with friends or on your own for a nice quiet place to read/work. We also took the children to the enchanting Christmas grotto and they absolutely loved it!!! Highly recommended!! xxx

My girlfriend and I are regulars here, I love this place immensely. The staff are friendly, the food is amazing, the atmosphere is perfect, and it's never cramped or over crowded. It's the perfect tea room and a great place for a light lunch or a romantic dinner. I can't praise this place enough. Try the Violet milkshake!

An oasis of cultural, calm and coffee set amid the swirlingly busy city centre of Plymouth. Service warm, friendly and welcoming. Reasonably priced and mouth-watering cake. Well worth a visit I'll be back

Great service, nice and relaxing atmosphere, cakes adorable, refreshing tea. I always take friends and family that have never visited Rumpus Cosy before and they all love it. Just one little thing is that we all would prefer larger coffee cups. Thank you. will be back and thank you.

Rumpus is one of the City's hidden gems, as I think people only think they are a coffee shop but they also offer an excellent dining experience too. Myself and a group of friends went along to make the most of their evening supper menu, which was fantastic. For my main course I had their fish pie which came with a huge amount of fish in it, which was in a deliciously creamy sauce topped off with some smooth and creamy mashed potato. For my desert I had their cheeseboard which was served with a generous portion of 3 cheeses along with some extra little touches such as pickled cauliflower in a tiny plant pot and also walnuts. The staff are all extremely friendly and very attentive, as well as being personable too. The atmosphere within Rumpus is lovely, with a selection of jazz and some real old school classics playing, along with the warm lighting of the place, really sets your evening up as a nice chilled one. One thing I noticed whilst I was there was that all profits go to a children's charity which I think is fantastic! Thanks for a great night and will see you again soon!

Well what a big surprise this is a atmospheric venue I stumbled on looking for breakfast . The food was perfect traditional with a twist on the beans I thoroughly enjoyed . If this was in Weston super mare I'm afraid my old favourites for breakfast would have to equal rumpus cosys background music at least ! I will come back to Plymouth just to visit this place again . Well done x
