We visited last night and were presented with a menu that literally had something for everyone along with a impressive vegetarian and even vegan selection, the childrens menu or little peoples menu as they like to call it i was pleased to see offered a wider selection than the obligatory chicken nuggets or fishfingers and not everything came with chips. I myself had a gammon steak with both egg and pineapple a huge salad peas and chips everything was piping hot and beautifully cooked, my friend had the chicken fajitas and rice and he too said how delicious and a generous portion it was .Although i only had a soft drink the bar was extremely well stocked with well known brands and something a little different should you be feeling adventurous add to that ample car parking and a pretty village location the Brook is a venue i look forward to visiting again soon NB for anyone with a spree book the Brook accepts the vouchers for both lunch and dinner
Had a wonderful meal for my daughters 31 birthday, food was outstanding and staff so friendly nothing was to much trouble. I am unable to eat gluten dairy and meat and catered for me even had gluten free bread to have with my starter. I highly recommend.
Great music 3 nights running (though I couldn't attend the first... the wonderful Wildwood Kin!) Sarah Yeo yesterday and Steve Jenner tonight. Friendly atmosphere, first rate beer and food and plenty of parking space. One of the top music venues in the region.
Another great night at the Brook Inn. The pub hosts a fortnightly quiz night at is always a great evening. The pub does really tasty food and the staff are friendly. Throughly recommend a visit
We had a really great roast yesterday, the meat was lovely, plenty of really good veg and amazing potatoes, they were also generous portions with lots of extras.
There were 10 of us, including 2 kids, we had never been before. The pub was really nice with lots of parking and the service was really friendly, would thoroughly recommend it �
Went for our first roast at the brook inn today wow was best roast I have ever had. And the service was perfect and such friendly staff. And customers. Defiantly worth a try..u won't be disappointed
Went there for the first time last night, the food is amazing, the staff are all lovely and made effort to make sure we got a table as quick as possible and enjoyed our meal. We had a brilliant night and really liked the live music, I highly recommend coming here
We took my dad for his 83rd birthday today we travelled from Weymouth and we had the best service and the best food we have eaten in a long time they made us fell so welcome nothing was to much trouble we will be back very soon with the rest of our family
My partner and I went for a lovely lunch today and I can honestly say I had the best ploughman's meal I have had for a long time.

Booked a table here for two as was my husbands 60th birthday and I wanted to spoil him, plus thought be a great way to catch up with John too.
We got to The Brook a little early but we were seated right away without question. I had asked John if they could help out with couple of decorations as a surprise and well totally outdone themselves perfect set up made it an even more perfect visit. Food was more than amazing, my husband steak was cooked perfect to how he asked and well the portions were huge and totally top quality could not of asked for better food. John and his staff so very helpful, friendly, and attentive nothing was too much trouble.

After googling the best ploughman's in Plymouth and being directed to the Brook Inn in Plympton, we were not disappointed. The staff are friendly, accommodating and welcoming. Thanks to Adam, Rita and Zoe. The presentation and the food was beyond amazing. I highly recommend and will be returning soon.
Really lovely evening here - great selection of drinks including cocktails and great ciders. We had fish and chips (huge and tasty) and a lovely burger. Fab spot with dining room, comfy sofas area and huge garden. This place only opened a year ago and it’s a great addition to the area. Team were absolutely lovely too - brilliant hospitality!
We dropped in here with friends from the isle of wight. Forgot how much of a wonderful pub the brook inn is to be honest. Fairly new owners. The pub was extremely presentable, lots of comfortable seating and the food was top notch. There was a short wait for the food but boy was it worth it. Beautifully presented, reasonably priced and amazing taste.
Would recommend to anyone. Will definitely be back

Lovely looking pub in a picturesque part of Plympton. Great service from Emily and her team. Fantastic food too with proper gluten free options. Loved the corned beef fritters! Would highly recommend.

Lovely afternoon lunch with family. The chicken & ham pie was delicious, there was so much meat the young lady kindly wrapped it in foil so we could take it home. Everything was hot & tasty.

Had lunch at The Brook yesterday and was excellent. Top food, attentive and happy staff and lovely atmosphere. Well worth a visit any day of the week !
Sunday roast - meat was good / veg was tasteless. Nice service and location. A little cold but I guess that’s saving money on heating. Probably a good venue for live music. We will give it another go.
Very good food staff very friendly John the boss man cant do enough for you. He turn the brook around since he took.over the pub .a big credit to you & your staff
TL;DR Food was very good but service was poor.
We had booked for 12 people (granted it's not a small booking), we were asked to move our own tables to accommodate and move them back when we were finished. Fine. Not a big deal at all. When ordering at the bar, staff were talking amongst themselves and ignored us. At one point, one was told 'youll have to wait as I'm dealing with your table.' Bit much. Plates were never cleared despite us carrying on for an hour after food was finished.
Chef extended the menu (normally reduced Sunday menu) for us which was very appreciated. The food was excellent and worth travelling for. I'm not a vegetarian but would pick the vegetarian burger again! Lovely outdoor seating and additional parking round the back.
