Good food at a good price. Only been here the once, so I cannot say I've samples enough of the menu to declare anything better than another, however the lamb chump was delicious, and the goat cheese went perfectly with the burger for a taste explosion. Don't be fooled by the outside, which looks like an American Diner. Once inside it's decked out as a pub, but with higher ceilings giving it an open feel.

First time back to the Claremont for years, food was good & it was pretty busy for a mid week lunch

Very busy but we were seated right away. Great choice of food and the service was brilliant. The staff were on their toes and they had tables served and promptly cleared when clients left. They done an excellent job.
I chose Beef olives served with mash potatoes and veg, loads of flavour, delicious. My friend had Smoked Haddock served with chips and a beautiful sauce. We both had desserts and they finished the meal off perfectly. We will visit again soon.

I was just out catching up with friends, so never had food, but what I saw looked good. Atmosphere is very friendly. There is a definite separation between bar and restaurant, so different clientele can be catered for. The bar has a few big screens dotted throughout the place, if you want ta catch up with sports while out.
