Had a lovely afternoon at Cromwell, with afternoon tea,as an early birthday treat,for my sister in law.The food was presented lovely,and was lovely and fresh,a good selection, at a reasonable price.The staff were very welcoming and friendly, all very attentive making sure everything was OK.Plus it is such a lovely cosy environment, well worth a visit and a treat.Would highly recommend. 5 stars.*****

Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area was quite popular while we were there.
Enjoyed our visit. Madam had a jacket tate with prawns. I had liver & bacon with mashed tates etc. A little prep on the liver would be nice, I.e. remove the bagging.
Apple pie to follow.
Their afternoon teas appeared to be very popular, being on every other table with a party of 8 ladies divulging upstairs.
The staff were very attentive but not pushy, being very pleasant

Found this hidden gem , had the large breakfast and eggs benedict both piping hot and great value 👌.

Fantastic cafe. From entering to leaving the staff were very friendly, the food exceptional, coffee was good and even had cream with it and the inside really nicely laid out. Breakfast even had fried bread option and the prices were very reasonable. Cannot recommend more highly. We only spotted after a glance down the side passage but what a result.

We are new to the area (just moved) and my parents took us here for brunch (they know the area well) ... Wow. What a great find. Amazing food and service.
We had 2x small breakfasts, a bacon baguette and mushrooms on toast. It was all delightful and the four coffees hit the spot too.
Can't fault anything, from the service to the atmosphere. It's obviously doing something right as it's a busy spot.

The best cafe around by far. Welcoming, warm, kind staff, relaxing away from the madding crowd but most of all food is obviously cooked and served with love. I am grateful this kind of service still exists, Thank you
