Just called for a drink.lady behind the bar made us feel very welcome and was really nice and pleasant.
Great pub, good beer, dog friendly. Right in the town centre and a great place to go even ok a busy night if you fancy a relaxed chat with some mates

The refurbishment of the bar has made a dramatic improvement to the atmosphere. The bar staff are very polite and courteous and gives a good welcome to all visitors. I went for a sunday lunch and it was delicious and home made, and an affordable price.
I have visited the Liquorice Bush, Pontefract, on a number of occasions.
The Land Lady & Landlord are extremely friendly and the bar staff are always very polite and professional.. the food is also very good.

Visited today for the first time. The food n drink are v reasonably priced. The food was hot, presented well n very tasty. The staff were polite n v helpful. I would recommend eating here. Looking forward to our next visit.
Good atmosphere, good pint of Guinness, but the regulars like it their way. We pay what they pay, so why do they think that they are in charge.

Great pub, the clientel can be a little vocal but this was outside. I would visit again.
