I've (we've) been lots and lots; the food is gggrrreeeaaattt and the management and staff are always attentive and professional. If you love great food and if you want great Indian food then I (we) would happily recommend Haveli. They offer the best biryani I have ever tasted, ever!

After hearing great things about Haveli in Darras Hall, and getting a recommend to try a dish called the Railway Lamb Curry, we booked in using the very easy to operate online booking system for a table for 4 on a Tuesday night. As it was our first visit, we did not know what to except if it would be busy or not, when we arrived we were able to park right outside so easy and there appears to be plenty of parking, we were greeted at the door and on our table within seconds menus in hand and drinks order getting sorted at an efficient pace. As there were 4 of us and I know most of them will review in their own time, I will only rave about the delicious selection of food that I enjoyed last night, for a starter I went for the Cochin Crab Cakes, they were very similar to some I had in Barbados in a 5star hotel on the beach, yet these came with a nicer spice taste as well as being just the right amount of crisp on the outside and tender seafood texture in the centre. Defiantly one to try again., I enjoyed this with some poppadum’s and spices. My main course was the highly recommended and I endorse the recommendation for the Railway Lamb Curry, as a side to this I went for the Feta Cheese Nan bread lovely this was, I then placed a quick order for Bombay potatoes as I had forgotten to order them to start they were there within minutes. There was plenty of Lamb and I felt a little guilty for over ordering with the potatoes as the Nan and the lamb would have been more than sufficient in fact I had to leave a little nan, but I’m sure the person to my right pinched it, this was a most enjoyable main course and as other’s who read my review know – Lamb is my favourite meal, and this is in my top 10 of all time. (I’ve even promised to take my littlest niece back to enjoy this meal) And even though I was just able to finish my main course, I order a desert a fantastic Masala Cheese cake with sorbet, a great looking and even better tasting circle cheesecake that when mixed with the sorbet gave a favour mixture that you don’t taste often, loved every bite. For the 4 of us including drinks it was only around £25 a person, well worth the short drive up to Darras Hall, will return again shortly,

This is the best Indian meal I have even had. The paleo menu is outstanding. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough - not only for its food but the service was second to none.

My family and I have visited this restaurant 10+ times and not once has the food been anything other than outstanding. The service is excellent - the staff are friendly, accommodating and quick to ask if you need another drink etc. The drinks/wine menu is brilliant and the food is exceptionally good - unlike anything else in the North East. The portion size is perfect and the authenticity of each dish is superb; it's real Indian. I LOVE the Salmon Trio starter and the Monkfish main (as well as Dahl makani as a side!) but it must be said every dish is spectacular. We are yet to have a takeaway as we live just round the corner and love the experience of visiting the restaurant itself but I'm sure the takeaways are just as delicious! This is 100% my favourite restaurant in Newcastle.

Went with better half awhile ago. We had a great dinner the highlight was the biriani which we agreed was the best we have ever had the taste flavours and textures were perfect. Happy to have such a great place nearby :). Well worth the effort to go and although slightly more expensive you get what you pay for.

Visited again last night and this time enjoyed the new fixed menu. Fantastic choice and the Halibut in particular was superb! Fantastic service tailored very much to the surroundings and it's always great to meet Chef and listen to his passion for the food and where he sources it from. Cuisine Indian food at sensible prices in top class surroundings. 5 stars as always!

I recently dined at Haveli Restaurant and had a fantastic experience. The Indian cuisine they serve is top-notch, and the quality of the food was outstanding. The flavors were rich and authentic, and I particularly enjoyed Lamb Chops. The ambiance was pleasant, and the staff provided excellent service. I highly recommend Haveli for a delightful Indian dining experience.

Usually when I order food, I prefer to have it delivered quickly. Haveli does that on point and has the best authentic Indian cuisine I have ever had in Newcastle. The food tastes like you are having it in the restaurant itself. Initially, it seemed the food's expensive but after having it, I realised it was worth the money. A must try restaurant if you are looking for fresh and hot food delivered at your place quickly.

Highly recommended. Polite and helpful staff (although one waiter hung too close a little too much, but was new and still learning). A small range of menu items - in their case this is not a weakness! The dishes are well judged, meat used was great quality. Very flavourful.

Four of us dined here in April 2023 and it was so good my husband and I are going back for our wedding anniversary at the end of May. The service wasn't super fast but that was good as I never like to feel rushed. The food was delicious and I can highly recommend. Reasonably priced too.

Excellent quality of food, lovely decor and a genuinely wonderful experience! I never really knew this place existed, until I found it listed in the Michelin Bib Gourmand site, but we'll definitely be back.

Regularly use their takeaway service as we have two young children so it works well to have a lovely meal in the comfort of our own home. Good quality Punjabi cuisine; a credit to the local area and a real Saturday evening treat. Good veggie options as well.

Visited this restaurant last Friday in a group of 7 very nice food. Bill charges sircharge already on the bill total at 10% this optical but not told about it till checking our bill on Saturday morning a very expensive when we also left a £10 cash tip. Returned Saturday 4th Mar h 2023 with my husband at 6pm had a lovely set menu at £29.95p each With lots of choices. Again very nice relaxing place and settings. Very cold asked them to turn the air com off and put the heat on. Again bill came in a box with chocolate. Surcharge again 10% of our bill £105.50p only me drinking barcardi and bottle coke x 2 charged for 3 got removed from bill. Also asked to remove the £9.20p surcharge ( optical but not told about it from staff, manager) which is wrong. Left a cash tip again on the table whilst leaving the restaurant. May be a while we return. Check bills before paying the bill. ( hidden extras etc). Overcharging drinks and sircharge. 1st bowl was chipped badly and told them straight in the bin without washing it and putting back out to serve again.

Went for a family celebration. Hadn't been for quite a while. We had a great night. The place looks brand new inside and very clean. Service was excellent and so was the food. Very reasonable prices too. Will be back again soon.

Great food of excellent quality. Interesting menu with a wide range of options from curry house classics to Indian Street food. Although the prices are a little higher than other Indian restaurants you are paying for the quality of food and surroundings. Excellent interior and atmosphere. Only improvement could be the service, which although efficient, I find a little too formal and unfriendly. To clarify, the service is good, I just feel it could be a bit more relaxed and warm.

We visited this restaurant earlier in the year with our German friend. The food and service was exceptional..we were greeted by very friendly staff and given time to make our choices. We were helped when needed with our choice. The lamb chops were delicious. Our friend was very impressed. I'm never disappointed by this restaurant. Well done.

Booked a table for a party of 8 adults and two children on a Saturday night a week before the event. On the day I was due to attend the restaurant they called me to confirm the booking still stood, which I thought was very good of them as I was meaning to call them myself to reconfirm the booking. On attending the restaurant at 6pm it was fairly quiet. The staff were very good and attentative to our needs, which varied since we were a large party. The decor is really nice and the music, whilst quite modern, is not too loud. The food is absolutely amazing and some of the best Indian food I have eaten in a restaurant. We went for the street food meat platter and veg platter for starters. Portions were decent. For main we selected butter chicken, which had a nice sweet taste to it, chicken madras which was spicy and lamb rogan josh. The lamb was very soft and not too chewy. When we got to the restaurant it was quiet but it soon started getting busy towards the 7pm mark, therefore I highly recommend you book if planning to visit on a Saturday night, or get there early doors (Haveli opens at 5pm). Only criticism is get the door on the gents stall toilet fixed as your punters may need to use it if they order a vindaloo! Thanks to Haveli for making a special occasion very memorable!

Very high quality and very well cooked food from Haveli. Probably the best I've had. Only recently moved into the area and this will definitely become our "go too" for Indian food. Cant wait to try more of the menu!
