Nice relaxed atmosphere, all the staff are welcome and efficient. Nice 2 minute jaunt from home to enjoy a steak. Have to stopped giving vouchers? Not been offerred them for our last five meals?

We've been here twice recently and had a lovely time on both visits. The first time we were fitted in at the last minute, a late family visit and pretty desperate for somewhere to eat, and this lovely place didn't disappoint. Great food and service, and although they were getting ready to stop serving food, we weren't rushed at all and were made welcome. The second visit was lunch with a friend, again, lovely food and attentive service. Lovely fresh salad to accompany lunch and served beautifully. Places that cook fresh food properly are hard to come by these days but you won't be disappointed if you try it!

We had dinner here last night -three adults and five children- and we were made to feel so welcome throughout. Service was immaculate and prompt, food was delicious (we just had mains and desserts) and it was a lovely place to spend time. Such friendly and cheerful staff. Highly recommend.

When we were on the way back from our long weekend and looking for a place to have lunch, we noticed this pub located right next to the road and I am glad we have! It was Sunday , just after 2 pm and it was very busy! Nonetheless, we were invited in and sitted. The pub consist of three sitting areas. The menu was very good with great selection of choices of food and drinks. Staff was very well trained, professional, kind and very helpful. The waiting time for food was reasonable, considering the amount of people was there. Food was delicious and freshly cooked. They have plenty of tables outside if you prefer to eat outside. The place is very clean and very well maintained, including toilet facilities. Quite spacious car park too! Definitely recommend it!

Excellent pub! The pub had a great atmosphere and the staff were friendly and attentive. For starters I has the jalapeno and goat cheese poppers which were lovely. For the main I had the lamb shank which was cooked to perfection and the mash and veg were also great. Desert was a sticky toffee pudding which was also lovely. Will definitely be coming back.

Lovely food and friendly service after our morning walk. Great to see a busy pub at lunch time. Will return.

Really nice place, very relaxing. The food can be a bit variable but generally good - on this particular visit it was ok but not amazing. It is also rather pricey, starters in particular don't seem value for money. Service is good, everyone was friendly and kept checking all was ok. Atmosphere is obviously different day to day and noon to night but generally really good, plenty of different areas to sit and the beer garden. They willingly encourage dogs into most of the pub which is a massive bonus, some country pubs have got a bit snobby about dogs in recent years.

An excellent place to stop for a bite to eat, child and dog friendly. We had dinner here one evening when staying locally, staff were super polite, couldn't fault the service and the food was amazing.

Best chips I've ever had! We enjoyed a lovely lunch at this pretty pub. We had a disabled person in our party and the staff were attentive, kind and friendly. Did I mention how amazing the chips were? Seriously yummy!

I would recommend going to this place. The food is fantastic, great prices.

We had a lovely meal couldn't find any fault had the honeycomb cheesecake for dessert one of the best cheesecakes I had had

Burger was so incredibly tasty, had the one with brisket in. Dripped juice everywhere, amazing. Also literally the best onion rings I've had in my life.

We went on a saturday evening. We had fishcakes and scampi which were as expected. But the steak was sublime and we eat alot of steak. The staff were excellent too. Thank you

Just called in today had gin and tonic . Then ordered food we had chicken stuffed with mushrooms bacon absolutely lovely meal excellent would give more stars if I could would recommend this pub x

Just been here for a lovely meal!! Would highly recommend. Our waiter was awesome too! Didn’t catch his name but he recommended the Chocolate torte and I was delicious!

Went here tonight to play bowls at the back of the pub. Never been made to feel so unwelcome anywhere. As we pulled up, we were greeted by an awful rude lady hanging out the pub window barking at us in quite the most unfriendly and hostile manner...apparently ( we have never been there before) just the site of our cars in the half empty car park would scare off potential diners. (yes nothing worse than a busy pub is there?) So despite over 30 bowlers buying drinks from the pub we weren't considered worthwhile customers or deserving enough to use the car park facilities. As a result some of our older players where then expected to go and park 200 yards down the road in a dark lay-by for reasons that would make you question whether it was April the 1st or not. I'm sure the food is great but neither me or anyone from our team will ever return to find out. Can I suggest you put a sign for the bowlers next to where you actually want them to park and if you do object to them parking at the pub where they buy your beer that you drag your attitude out of the gutter and try asking nicely. They might not do it but you may feel better knowing you haven't ruined people's friday night or put them off ever coming to your pub again. #justsayin #yolo be nice.

Lovely little pub with great views. Plenty of history to be seen on the walls. We all enjoyed our food that didn't take too long to come out. Friendly bubbly staff helps give a good atmosphere. I will be going again!

Lovely setting, super service and delicious food...highly recommend �

We went to the Nags Head on Wednesday 13th September. We hadn't booked but had no trouble getting a table. The lady at the bar was friendly and welcoming and the waitress was equally so. Drinks arrived at our table promptly and our food order taken. The food arrived in very good time and was delicious. The desserts were fabulous. My husband thought his raspberry and almond tart was the best he'd ever had and my pannacotta was amazing! Would definitely go again.

Went for Sunday lunch and had starter and main which were amazing, we had no room left for dessert! Great choice on the menu and lovely, attentive staff. Fantastic place to eat.

Impromptu meal out, really enjoyed the food and the friendly service. Too full for dessert and live too far away to come and try 'Pie Wednesday'.

Mid week meal. Ten minute wait to be served drinks. Fifty minute wait for pasta & chicken & a prawn curry.....exceptionally poor food....worse beer. Bad experience not to be repeated.....go elsewhere if your in the area. VERY disappointing.....!!!!!!
