The Rising Sun Inn - Pontypool - Photo album

Lovely family run pub, good food, good drinks and friendly locals. When the weather is good the beer garden is fantastic for the family! Had one of the best Sunday roasts this weekend! Photos attached, you need to book in advance!
Great place to visit and have some excellent pub food. Lovely staff, very friendly. Great atmosphere and location, the views are stunning. Highly recommend.
Beautiful charming drinkers pub with a good selection of real ale. The sort of bar your can sink into and feel at home.
We recently moved to the area and was recommended to try this place by a local - it didn't disappoint! Wow! It absolutely has the wow factor! The beer garden was stunning - never seen one like it. Inside it carried on, the thought for design is clear. We did eat here and have to say it was deliciou
Lovely old pub. We sat outside so that my daughter could play on the play toys. She enjoyed herself. We got waited on by a member of staff which was lovely. Just over £50 for 3 adults (with 2 deserts) and a child for Sunday lunch
I have no experience of this pub but my Brother goes weekly to have a pint and enjoy an evening of live music. I have no experience of the dining but He say's it's good.
The nicest pub, that has lots of hidden gems, very friendly staff and a lovely landlord, the food is absolutely amazing and have gone back a few times and with a variety of drinks available,it's a perfect place
Good beer, no longer serves food
First time here today. Lovely traditional and cosy pub. Staff were extremely polite and welcoming. The food was outstanding. Very good portion sizes and quality was spot on. This is how pubs should be when they haven't been taken over by the big pubs chains.
We just had Sunday lunch here and it was fantastic, compliments to the chef and the staff. Lamb was so soft and so was the beef. All round excellent. See you all soon for another dinner, when we have a spare Sunday.
Really great. Good Ales , lovely people.
An absolutely great afternoon and evening had here.
Wonderful Sunday lunch very reasonably priced..Cheesecake was the best! Great service. Lovely garden for kids to play.
We called in for a cooked breakfast and what a gorgeous breakfast it was! It was the best we have had in a long while, it was not greasy and had everything on it. Owners made us feel relax and very helpful. Cannot wait to return for a birthday meal. 10/10 keep up the good work.
