Have the signature Whortleberry and Apple Cake! I'm not a big sweet tooth but my brother and I just loved this cake - served warm with clotted cream - along with a lovely pot of tea to share. Made my day.

We had a delightful lunch in this lovely traditional tea shop. The food was excellent and the service was friendly. There are plenty of tea shops in this part of the world but this one is the best of the many we’ve visited.

Light and bright charming tearoom, where we enjoyed delicious soup, cheese scone and sandwiches, plus of course a cream tea. Everything freshly prepared and delightfully presented. Enjoyed the homemade jam so much we bought a selection to take home. Excellent customer service - thank you!

Had to spend an hour before I could check into my B & B, so went here for a traditional tea with scones and clotted cream. It’s a little island of peace, politeness and quiet conversations. And the scones were tasty too. A quintessential British experience.

Wasn't very hopeful after trying a cafe down the street which didn't have anything gluten free....but was excited to discover Whortleberry's had gluten free scones, cake, and some the tastiest gf bread I've ever had! Warm and welcoming staff and great food. Highly recommend.

Lovely tea room. Cream teas looked amazing and wish we had tried. Too full on sandwiches though. All fresh and plenty on the plate. We'll needed nourishment after a long walk. Thank you

We went in because of the name and nowhere else inspired us. I remember picking Whortleberries as a child with my parents so a but of a nostalgia trip. The food was very good, though for me I prefer stronger cheese. Service was exemplary with plenty of hot water to top up the loose leaf tea (really good tea). I wanted to try the Whortleberry jam so ordered a scone with clotted cream, fantastic scone warm from oven with generous serving of jam and cream... and the jam delicious.

Came here on a beautiful warm weekday. We popped in and it was rather busy inside but plenty of space left. We went and sat outside and met a very cute dog on the balcony above. The food and service and met with a smile and I'm pretty sure that my scones were some of the best I've ever had (and I go to Choughs, in cornwall). The cream and jam was generous and the tea was nice too.

This is a lovely little tea room. The food was freshly prepared and delicious. The scones are particularly good. The tea was proper leaf tea, and they provided extra hot water without being asked.

Food was to die for. Wordsworth Tea , lovely choices. Staff very friendly. Patio garden secluded and quiet. Really enjoyed lunch. Would highly recommend if in or passing through village.
