We visited The Boathouse on Sunday for my husbands birthday lunch and it was just incredible. We haven't been since it changed hands, but we were so impressed - we will definitely be going regularly!!
We were offered a roast or a brunch menu. We chose the roast and had a choice of 3 meats, we opted for 2 different kinds each. It was all beautifully presented and even came with a little pot of cauliflower cheese and a mini jug of gravy each (which I failed to picture!). Clear plates all round and it was just as good as a home cooked roast, not like a standard restaurants batch cooked roast dinner.
There was a wide variety of desserts, we all had something different and all were just delicious!!!

Fantastic meal last week. Front of house staff are fantastic, chatty and attentive but without being overbearing. Menu was fab and they happily had some interesting and delicious options for our vegan diner. So refreshing to have multiple choices rather than just the usual sad pasta dish. The tempura vegetable salad starter was a particular highlight. The decor is lovely and there's a lovely relaxed vibe. Great food at very reasonable prices delivered to the table quickly, what's not to love! They're not currently licenced so take your own booze if you want to drink, soft and hot drinks are available. Definitely recommend.
Have lived on the island for 3 years now and this was hands down the best meal we have enjoyed. Greeted and looked after all evening by a very energetic, friendly and knowledgeable young lady. Ordered the venison from the special's board and the chicken parmo, both of which were perfectly cooked and seasoned. For desert had the rhubarb and custard sponge with custard, absolutely divine. Relaxing lighting and background music, will not be hesitate on booking again soon. Please support this fantastic new restaurant.
The boathouse is run by a very talented team of chefs and front of house management and staff. Our food this evening was sublime. The venison was perfectly cooked and seasoned and the queenies starter was served on a bed of beautiful butternut squash purée. The chicken parmo was exceptional and the portions were very generous. There is a good selection of wines and we enjoyed our cocktails and Rioja. The restaurant ambience is just right with a good sound track played at the right volume. We will returning very soon. Went for breakfast today at The Boathouse it was our second time there and it won’t be our last, the food is soooo incredible and the server Catherine has been so lovely and looked after us both times we have been, we 10000% recommend and make a day out off it down port st Mary,l! Such a beautiful restaurant! Can’t talk enough about this place
Went for Sunday Lunch. Beef cheek was amazing as was the gammon. Desserts were excellent, especially the tiramisu. Happy and attentive staff. Would definitely recommend and visit again

Everything was excellent from the warm welcome to portion size. Passed by several times without realising it was there. Needs bigger bolder signage for everyone to experience a wonderful meal
